- The Dallas Cowboys had a comeback for the ages yesterday when they found themselves down 20 in the first quarter. The Atlanta Falcons led by 15 with under 5 minutes left but then it was all Dallas. A pair of Dak Prescott touchdowns through the air and on the ground brought it within 2 points. Then came the onside kick that the Falcons watched dribble 10 yards and the Cowboys jumped on. Dak connected with CeeDee Lamb on a 30-yard pass to put Dallas deep in Atlanta territory to hit the game-winning field goal as time expired. My Thoughts are that the Falcons don’t seem to understand that on an onside kick your players can touch the ball at any time .

This was the most overtly and ostentatiously and blatantly obvious rigged game in the NFL in recent memory. From the Julio Jones dropped catch where he literally moved his arms away from the ball when he was wide open to the egregiously scripted onside kick at the end where you can’t even make that up in a movie. The Falcons are now part of two of the most infamous rigged jobs in NFL history one being against the New England Patriots obviously four years ago in the Super Bowl and the second being yesterday at Jerry world against Dallas who was in desperate need to not fall to 0-2 on the season and essentially be eliminated from playoff contention heading in to week three. There’s no explanation as to how four Atlanta Falcons would let an onside kick roll 7 to 8 yards past them when all they had to do was dive on the ball and for you idiots out there who think that they weren’t privy to the rule about it having to go 10 yards for only offensive players in terms of them not having to wait until they can secure it you are naïve and patently insane and incontrovertibly delusional. Watch Matt Ryan after the game on the field he’s laughing and smiling as if he Didn’t just participate in a 29 to 10 blown lead rig job and instead resembled a QB who was euphoric about walking onto the field to celebrate winning the Lombardi trophy. The NFL ratings are in the tank almost as abhorrently as the NBA ratings due to the Black Lives Matter promulgation and Roger Goodelle is desperate to have the Cowboys relevant for ratings down the stretch and potentially in January, postseason time. This is a 100% irrefutable rigged/scripted/fixed game.. 💯💯💯

I agree with Christian. What did Dan Quinn really do wrong in this game? He made some pretty solid play calls (unless it was more his OC). The onside kick thing--what was he supposed to do in those few seconds? The kick is next to the Cowboys sidelines, so it's not like Quinn is close enough to yell at them to get on it. You can't blame him for not seeing that coming. That was totally player error, and honestly, when you're in the moment, it's easy to see how, in those few seconds, they just lost complete track of what they needed to do in regards to the 10 yard rule. I think it caught everyone on the field off guard and they just froze, but looking at it through 20/20 hindsight, it's easy to say exactly what the Atlanta players should have done in those split seconds. And I'm sure every one of those guys is smacking themselves in the head on the way home. Cause Lord knows between those fumbles in the first quarter and McCarthy (or the special team's coach) on those fake punt calls, Dallas did plenty to give Atlanta the chance to win. But I don't really get how Quinn's job should be in jeopardy from THAT game. If I were Jerry Jones though, I'd be having a pretty serious talk with my special team's coach this morning in Arlington, cause those were some of the dumbest calls I've ever seen.

When you’re up 15 with 4 minutes it should NOT come down to a damn onside kick and that’s just facts. It’s been too many games we were ahead in or should’ve won and poor decisions ALONG with boneheaded plays by the players has led us here. Going for it like a mad man in week one wouldn’t have left such a bad taste in our mouths for this game if it were successful. But he had some terrible moments in this game and hasn’t been great the first two weeks overall. Not bad!! But I mean if the standard is best in the league? Then no he hasn’t been that good. He had some beautiful and beastly runs! Clutch plays! But he also had 2 fumbles AND effed up some pass protection big time. Yet to have over 100 rushing yards in either game yet, yet he had over 20 carries in each game. Is 22 for 89 and a TD, PLUS 6 grabs for 33, with 2 fumbles, 1 lost, and a pass protection error leading to another fumble a good enough performance to solidify his place on top of the list? Don’t forget about CMC. I think it was consensus coming into the season that CMC was #1. We can’t undervalue offensive line play either. So we have to give Zeke some credit for playing solid with a banged up line, but we also have to take that into consideration when we look at his prior years and how effective his line has been. I mean as a fellow RB fan you must have seen what Tony did when he got touches behind that line last year? And what Alfred did at times when Zeke was out? And I mean Derrick henry? Chubb? Adams? Dude there are a lot of RBs you could argue are as good or better than Zeke. And it is CLOSE

The Cowboys showed TRUE GRIT and resilience, because most teams would have quit by halftime, but the Boys never stopped playing. At the end of that game, the Boys scored 16 points in 5 minutes.

Yes they choked in the end. But my point is that you have to give the Cowboys credit for putting the Falcons in the position to choke. Because if the Cowboys had given up and stopped playing, like many teams would have, the game would have never come down to an onside kick. The game was never even close until the the last 2 minutes of the game.

When i watched the onside kick i was waving off, thinking that the ball would never travel anywhere close to 10 yards. For me the only explanation of this kick ending up succesfull is, that the falcons thought the same as me in this moment and were afraid of falling onto it, because if they somehow touch it but can't secure it, the ball gets eligible for the cowboys. So they waited for it to go out of bounds before any cowboys player is even allowed to touch it. But then the ball somehow swirls its way across the ten yard mark, the falcons get caught offguard and the rest is history!
Great point. Also probably Cowboys' players yelling don't touch it and with the game on the line nobody wanted to make a mistake.
But that's only the case on punts. Pro players should know the rules man...

Why is everyone assuming Seattle is gonna win? They struggled at home with the Pats, and that basic Cam offense. R. Wilson is great! No doubt about it! But their defense is suspect (much like ours).
