Emily and Alfie are complementary. That's why I think they were a good couple. I don't see anything like that with Gabriel. I don't even know why they're in love. But I probably misunderstood.
Nope you right I think it’s just the idea they have of each oh her, Emily is a romantic and Gabriel was first guy her neighbour she builds things out of nowhere and I think that’s how she sees her Gabriel and that relationship meanwhile for Gaberiel Emily was an escape and someone who believed in him his dream unlike the girl he’s known always who’s made him feel like he wasn’t enough because of who she and her parents are.
Alfie is loyal and offers true love without complications. The clear choice is Alfie but it looks like Emily and Gabriel will be endgame unfortunately.....I just can't make sense of that.
Oh yeah, absolutely! He's my favorite person in the show. Honestly Gabriel and Emily deserve each other, both of them are good at keeping lines blurry. I love Alfie's decision to break up, that's what a person with healthy strandards does. He should get not Emily, but a decent and honest woman.
I binged-watched this show's first season and really liked it. But somewhere in the second season the premise morphed from an American trying to avoid the pitfalls of working in a foreign land with a different culture, to the main character hopping from one bed to the next and it lost it's charm for me.
