Lord, bless Amber abundantly. Surround Amber with the support she needs-family, friends, and resources . Lord, I pray for the baby’s health and development, that every step of this journey is guided by Your hand. .. 🙏🙏 prayers and good wishes . ❤ You got this !
I had to repaint bedrooms in the house I have now that were black. A painter of many years told me the best way to get good coverage was to use a gray paint in place of a primer or kilz or anything like that and then paint it the color I wanted. Worked great for me.
Primer can be tinted too. You don't have great color selection, but a light grey should be possible. Also, lots of stores that sell paint will deeply discount cans of mis-tinted paint. They may not have the exact color you would have chosen, but if you find some that "will work" you can save quite a bit.
Maybe you can just get wood panelling sheets in white to cover the damaged and black section of the wall?when you were checking the power..your microwave time light was on 😌
Amber, very blessed to have Jenn & Wiley for help & support - big difference getting all the junk out of way 😉 good luck with the remodel 👌 take care 🙏
Need to post a ca or pp so people can help if they want to. Can also do a wish list. When you decide what you really need, especially for the baby. It will all take time you'll get there. Also be careful with fumes for babys health. ❤
I'm really impressed a camper this old doesn't seem to have much water damage except under that one window. THAT'S a blessing. Your roof must be in pretty good shape. Looking forward to watching the progress of making this camper your home!
You ladies have got your work cut out for you but I have faith in you I'm sure when it's done it'll look very nice and be comfy keep up the great work..
I would suggest having a fold out sofa for 1 or 2 people to sleep on and bunks for 2 or 3. Just my 2 cents worth. Can’t wait to see how you make it look awesome ❤️
No apologies necessary, you have worked hard in cleaning the camper, it will look great when you get done. Wiley and Jen thank you for helping your sister to get a fresh start in life.
That is a great suggestion! We need to make sure this RV is in its final resting place before we add on. Wiley made a shale pad out the front door so it helps with a LOT of the mud.
Pull that window out (with what looks like water damage underneath) and replace the butyl tape sealer. Not just run a bead of caulk around the window. Maybe the fridge control panel is 12 volt to run with propane.
I like the idea of wooden floors and they do have vinyl floor planks they have them at the hospital here in my hometown and the apartment I live in also has them 💕them just use my swifter wet jet to clean them. Good luck will be watching 😎
Trina, that is the kind of flooring that is throughout the rest of the RV. We are not sure if we can match what is already there. Also, we're working with practically no budget. So, it might be milled wood bc it is something we can make lol We are masters of "making do". 😂 Thank you for following Amber's journey. I appreciate you ☺️
Excellent plans, the 'ocean' atmosphere will create a dreamy interior. There's a lot to work with ,already in place. The revamp is going to make very happy viewing..and will be a great living environment for the family.
Wow, its a big job but you guys are very creative. I'm sure you'll help Amber figure it out. I'm sure Amber has a story, don't we all 😉 but it's great seeing you and Wiley stepping in to help her. Amber, stick with the Lord and He will help you with your new "life plan." Looking forward to following your progress on your channel. 🙏❤️🙏
Great ideas Amber and Jenn. One day at a time and everything will come together. I’m excited to watch future videos. Thank you for taking me along on your journey. Good luck and God bless you all. Take care from Cape Cod🥰
Not that you would be getting their paint. But Sherwood Williams has a paint color called sea salt. It looks like different colors depending on the like. Sometimes it looks blue, sand or even grey. You could look at a paint swatch to see if you like it. It is a beach type of color.
Just an idea for temporary cabinet storage, I use plastic bins and cardboard boxes, to act like drawers where it's hard to reach (I'm 72). That way you can reach down and pull them out to get what you want, especially stuff that is in the back of the cabinet. At home goods, they sell various size clear small bins I put spices and small items in an they are also great for small things on the big shelves of the refrigerator. I also would get ideas from 'the container store' (too expensive) and make my own version cheaply. Haven't been to H Depot in years, but check out bead board for covering the bottom half of the damaged walls. It comes in 4x4 sheets. It has the beachy look.
Are set on the beach theme? Or are you working with what you have? I like the beach theme! But, to make it easy you could just paint over the wood instead of trying to match the colors and technique. You could use a beach solid color! Can’t wait to see you transform the camper!
@@positivelyobnoxious I’m sure you will do a great job! You can for sure pull off a beach theme with a solid color on the wall if need be! You could always paint your cabinets a beach color with fun cabinet knobs if you do a neutral wall color!.
Loving the progress, Amber! The beachy vibe with turquoise and sandy colors is going to be gorgeous. The bunk bed and seating ideas are perfect for your family. The stainless steel backsplash is a smart choice too! Can’t wait to see it all come together! 😊 By the way, if you can provide an email address, we’d love to work with you to sponsor your 12V RV air conditioner!
I so love your sister Jen!! But you two have me laughing so much !! Love your positive attitude for everything!! It is contagious 🤗 but loved when Wiley said he was expensive and amber said thank god my sister is paying for it love how Wiley just laughed 😂😂 I am loving the ideas of you decorating !! Sometimes simple is great I know it will be just what you will need to get back on your feet!! God bless you and your family Amber!! You got this🙏🏽
Amber Thanks for the Design Update & Changeable Plans 😅listen I know How Older Sisters can Be. You make Sure Your Happy with Your Choices.. God Bless & Keep You and The Precious Baby & Your Other 4 Children too. HOW OLD ARE THEY?? ❤ See ya Soon
WOW.. you sure clean up well sweety.. lipstick.. hair up... You are beautiful Looking forward to see how you fix it up. As far as the missing window.. cost may be high right now, so maybe just use leftover wood and insulation to cover it up.. and maybe even a picture on the inside.. you've got a working window on the other side of the room. I can feel how it can be overwhelming, so just take one thing at a time.. A STEP!!! that's my vote as a first thing
If you have a Habitat for Humanity Store near you, I suggest getting a 5-gallon bucket of paint in the closest thing to grey that you can find and paint everything. It can be your base coat and will help cover the black. Once everything is clean looking with a couple good coats of the grey it will be easier to determine where you want your accents and colors. What about putting a thin piece of wood in the drawers area and using Dollar General baskets instead of building drawers? It would be cheaper.
@positivelyobnoxious I love going to Habitat. The possibilities are endless. You got your work cut out for you byt I bet it will be super cool when you are done.
You can scrape off the old backsplash and then put up regular tile using liquid nails glue and for grout you can use grout caulking it comes in tubes o4 you can get the kind you mix up. Just squeeze it on and wipe it into the seams using your finger or household spatula. I saw a lady install tile in her bathroom and kitchen using the liquid nails and around in a caulking tube and gun. She couldn’t afford the plastic spacers so she cut up pieces of cardboard and just took them out when she put the grout in. It looked so easy. She found some cheap tile at one of the discount stores like Habitat for Humanity. There are discount tile stores that sell tile that was discontinued or they’d only have a small supply and sell it at a mark downed price. It won’t take much tile to put a back splash. You might be axle to do some in your bathroom too. I would put as much tile back splash as you can so you have less to paint. Tile is easy to keep clean too. They make tile that looks like stainless steel you never know you might find some. The stainless steel backsplash is a good idea if you can find a piece to fit the whole section. Btw Mama V from Possum run homestead and SLR went to a a few discount building supply stores recently while building their cabins you might want to check those places out. I know they carried windows, tile, mud, tongue and groove wood and so much more. I think some even carry paint. Call paint stores and ask them if they have any discounts on 5 gallon buckets of paint. Sometimes they mess up on the paint they make for people and they sell it really cheap. It doesn’t hurt to give them a call. Home Depot and Lowe’s do this too and other paint stores. Stay safe God Bless🙏🏻 🎄Happy Holidays🎄🎅🤶☃️🎄
I like your choice of colors. I think the colored wood they put up, is stained. They make colored stains. I'd paint kilz all over in there before painting your color. Kill all the germs. 😊❤
We will be scrubbing the walls with bleach or vinegar when we prep for paint. The Keels would probably cost $100 or more. It's pretty expensive stuff. A gallon of vinegar is about 5 dollars. 😂
For the time being..think small plastic baskets that slide into the cupboards space..cheap storage solution. The Dollar shop has them very cheap here in Aust. Take your time ..spread the money outlay over a little longer timeframe.

Sho2 her the b7nks Gary and Mel have for their kids. She could have 2 on 1 wall and 2 at 90° angle intersecting the other 2.
That is kind of what she is thinking but we might build them 4 high instead. We will see how it all works out when we get to building them.
Peel & stick tiles would be good to put down for the floors. Easier to clean. I'd use the wood for the walls.
I recommend doing a coral blueish green to match with the top wall on the bump out?
