Bloody gold mate. Navionics n spot lock motors making fishing tougher especially if theres no current. Snapper big limit and sizes need to change 40cm n 5 fish per person in my opinion.im happy with 3 good fish nowadays enough for a fresh feed anything else is a bonus Fk brad is a classic.
Agreed mate. Anyone can come to Coffs these days and find the gun inshore red grounds that used to be only known by locals and code names for them. It worries how those grounds will hold up with the added pressure but a lot of people are releasing the bigger snapper which is fantastic. Snapper might be safe but I wouldn’t want to be a muttonbird off Coffs lol
Yes mate - usually have one in the holder. We let it freespool basically to the bottom and then put the bail arm over. As the boat drifts it pulls the plastic up a couple of metres depending on drift speed and the boat movement gives the placcy some action. Caught some good ones in the rod holder!
