When I played this game as a third grader, I had no idea of the importance of the life upgrades in acquiring the water sword to get the true canon ending of defeating the Dahaka and saving Kaileena. I always assumed defeating Kaileena was canon. I was so young and bad at the game so I naturally missed a ton of life upgrades. I was suspicious when I played two thrones and noticed Kaileena was on the boat at the start. Only recently have I found out the true cannon ending with all the life upgrades and the water sword. Damn, looks like I might have to power up my old gamecube that has been sitting in the basement for like 10 years.
Yeah I did both endings when I was little. And I didn't even know that this video existed back then. I was just so clueless😂😂. But damn I missed this game. If only my mom didn't download a demo of the lego marvels, then prince of persia shouldn't have been deleted. I haven't even finished sands of time and the two thrones😢
I kept missing the last upgrade. This was an open world game but when you get to a certain part at the end you cant go back. And i just kept missing it!
Well... I love this game with all my heart and I will always do... But let's be honest, the story has its flaws. There some very convenient events, things that are never explained, people completely waisted (Shahdee, for example), some confusing dialogues... And lots of fan service JAJAJA (yet it's not a big problem, tho). However, it's a very solid and captivating story. I'd give it an 8.6 out of 10.

The following are the cutscenes that are missing *In the garden of the Present there are several small cutscenes including the Dahaka chase and the Crow Master being killed by the Dahaka *In the Prison, the cutscenes when the Prince saw the Scorpion Sword above and when he was attacked by the Dahaka when he tried to get it, and also when he finally got the sword in the Past *The cutscenes from the Griffin Boss fight *The cutscene when the Prince entered the Foundry *The scene in the Library where the Dahaka break the wall above and the Dahaka chase going to the Mystic Caves *Cutscenes in the Mystic Caves... When entering and midway after the Prince saw several dog enemies There are several loopholes in the story *When the Dahaka killed the Prince/Sandwraith in the Central Hall, the Prince/Sandwraith didn't used time rewind to escape death though he can do it in the gameplay *Kaileena made the sands, but she can be pushed into the time portal (made of sands itself) into the present. *Why Kaileena didn't turned into sands after being killed in the Present, she burst into sands when she was killed in the Throne Room battle
19:25 That was a huge plot twist to me as a child!! And when she said "I even cursed the sword I gave you, and yet you didnt die!" I got so pissed man, so pissed, and when I beat her i felt so rewarding!!! Great game!
I love that when Kaileena refuses Prince offer to come with him, Prince face is like "something is wrong", but after he removes the mask and the scene repeats, they closed up on his eyes, so he was like "now it's the time"

Not really indeed! The prince was a boy that opened the hourglass and released the Sands of Time. After killing the Vezier he has changed his fate. No one would survive after releasing the sands. But he did! Then to meet his fate the guardian of Time, Dahaka, chased him. He had the stupid ideia to go back in time using the sands of Time to Undo his mistakes, believing all his problems would disappear if the sands never existed in the first place. He managed to do that, but since he avoided to open the hourglass the Vizier still alive looking for them. If Kailena died by the hands of Prince nothing would change, only this time the prince was not present when the Vizier opened the Hourglass and dominated Babilon. When Two Thrones takes place Kailena died and there was no Hourglass to contain it. The sands were released upon the prince Vizier's thugs, tainting them , creating the bosses. During all prince life he was egoist and tried to run away from his errors using the sands. All his grief, anger, fears became substancial with the sands tainting his blood and originated the Dark Prince. Since he's a survival from the Sands he kept his memories, but Pharan doesn't. Only when the Prince accepted his errors and stopped from running away, trying to fix everything with some magical power he was able to undo his Dark transformation without water.

@@JH09SUMIT Well it could've been the 2nd loop that we start on. So the sandwraith who dies was the prince trailblazing and didn't know. So when the prince goes through the third loop he knows his death and avoids it. Then when his "true self" dies he fixes the timeloops and carries on as the "true prince"
Assasin's Creed will never give me the feel and thrill of this game . Prince of Persia is the father of Assasin's Creed . They killed this game for AC , AC is amazing but POP worrior within was something else 😍 This game seriously needs to be rebooted ❤
This is the only game I'd not be upset to see a full remaster. With updated cutscenes and better graphics (as long as they don't change the gameplay and story only add on it)

The best thing i remember from this game was that Dahaka speak backwards...I only discovered this when i had to use the sands after a letal blow fighting him
At first I thought the dahaka had really effed up horns, but they are actually bent to look like the infinity symbol, very cool since its the guardian of time.
actually it was the setup of kindred blades but it was scrapped and made into ttt and the man at the end isn't the dark prince he is a doppelganger of the prince who was main antagonist in kindred blades but he was removed in ttt but they gave him a tribute in the ending with the dark prince.
It seems that when warrior within was released the two thrones was done and ready to be released but they did after one year The trilogy prince of persia will remain the best trilogy of all time
From what I heard, they were making another PoP game but it turned into Assassins Creed. But I do wish for a remaster or maybe another game would be nice.
The Prince of Persia trilogy games was one of my favourite games playing on the PS2. When I first played The Sands of Time I couldn't finish it because of the multiple portal doors so I rage quitted and moved to the Warrior Within and obviously expected something similar and got pure action dark vibes and every time I played it, I always got the ending where Kaileena dies and only found out about the canon ending a few years ago thank to RUclips and the same with Sands of Time portal doors (I've literally finished the first game a few years ago all because I could never figure out the portal doors part). The Two Thrones was obviously very different with a sort of combination of both Sands of Time and Warrior Within, the game felt like the end of his journey after he had endured, it all finally ended but wasn't just a happy ending for him but also for Kaileena. The Prince of Persia will always hold a special place in my heart as a gamer and I truly hope after that horrible trailer of the remaked Prince of Persia, I hope they fix it, keep it exactly as it was from the original, remake the other 2 games and let the new gamers today experience the best games from 15 to 20 years ago.

This was the game back in the day, combat system was unique and storyline was good. POPTT was ok. And the one on xbox360 was good just the definition of graphics and combat control along with storyline are kinda all over the place. Want a new one out so bad with something new and creative. I help develop no joke.
Ubisoft is way too damn obsessed and focused with Assassins Creed and beating that dead horse to nothingness. There is a wealth of story and opportunity by revisiting The sands of time and just remaki g these games. Just the orginal game is not enough. Warrior Within to this day is my favorite game of the series.
The Sand Wraith Prince sacrificed his own past-self (Time Remnant) to save himself from the Dahaka. It's still a bummer that we never got a boss fight battle with the Sand Wraith (Time Remnant) as the Prince & vice versa later on as Sand Wraith.

The cutscene that happens at 29:00 I never saw this cutscene. I don't know how but when I did on this occasion play it with that cutscene, it bugged the platforms so that I couldn't descend from the mechanical tower (leading into the part with the Dahaka, Prince and Sand Wraith together). Luckily had a save before the cutscene. Sadly I can't access the water tower for the missed health upgrade though.

actually it was the setup of kindred blades but it was scrapped and made into ttt and the man at the end isn't the dark prince he is a doppelganger of the prince who was main antagonist in kindred blades but he was removed in ttt but they gave him a tribute in the ending with the dark prince.
It seems that when warrior within was released the two thrones was done and ready to be released but they did after one year

The Prince of Persia trilogy games was one of my favourite games playing on the PS2. When I first played The Sands of Time I couldn't finish it because of the multiple portal doors so I rage quitted and moved to the Warrior Within and obviously expected something similar and got pure action dark vibes and every time I played it, I always got the ending where Kaileena dies and only found out about the canon ending a few years ago thank to RUclips and the same with Sands of Time portal doors (I've literally finished the first game a few years ago all because I could never figure out the portal doors part). The Two Thrones was obviously very different with a sort of combination of both Sands of Time and Warrior Within, the game felt like the end of his journey after he had endured, it all finally ended but wasn't just a happy ending for him but also for Kaileena. The Prince of Persia will always hold a special place in my heart as a gamer and I truly hope after that horrible trailer of the remaked Prince of Persia, I hope they fix it, keep it exactly as it was from the original, remake the other 2 games and let the new gamers today experience the best games from 15 to 20 years ago.

@Rohit Halwai It would be totally unnecessary. Because in The Two Thrones Kaileena clarified that this alternate story was not true, it was just a wrong myth or belief made up by people.

This was the game back in the day, combat system was unique and storyline was good. POPTT was ok. And the one on xbox360 was good just the definition of graphics and combat control along with storyline are kinda all over the place. Want a new one out so bad with something new and creative. I help develop no joke.

Ubisoft is way too damn obsessed and focused with Assassins Creed and beating that dead horse to nothingness. There is a wealth of story and opportunity by revisiting The sands of time and just remaki g these games. Just the orginal game is not enough.
Warrior Within to this day is my favorite game of the series.

The Sand Wraith Prince sacrificed his own past-self (Time Remnant) to save himself from the Dahaka.
It's still a bummer that we never got a boss fight battle with the Sand Wraith (Time Remnant) as the Prince & vice versa later on as Sand Wraith.
Honestly i don't really get why the wraith died the 1st time...if it was the prince all ago

I never saw this cutscene. I don't know how but when I did on this occasion play it with that cutscene, it bugged the platforms so that I couldn't descend from the mechanical tower (leading into the part with the Dahaka, Prince and Sand Wraith together). Luckily had a save before the cutscene. Sadly I can't access the water tower for the missed health upgrade though.
