    Sir, this is a wonderful technique which can be supplemented with few more details to make it even more easier-
    1) Sitting in front of the patient and using your left hand to give traction at the elbow for a left sided dislocation.
    2) Patient sits on a stool with back rested on a wall and instructed to keep his back straight.
    3) A bed sheet passed through affected side axilla to provide counter traction directed towards opposite shoulder.
    This works every time, even for 1st traumatic episodes.

    • @DrVinayKumarSingh
      @DrVinayKumarSingh  3 месяца назад +5

      The beauty of the technique is that there is no traction or counter taction. It also doesn't need any form of analgesia.

    this is actually kocher method. you can learn it by the mnemonic TEAR. T for traction with elbow 90 degree flexed, E for external rotation, A for adduction towards the chest, R for rotation internally. after external rotation hold it for minute. that is it

    Hello doctor! How long before you decide to move to the second and third maneuver? After 1 minute immediately without reduction we move to adduction? Then 1 minute after move to internal rotation? Also do we do the 2nd and 3rd maneuver slowly similar to the 1st? Thank you for all the rich knowledge to be found in your channel!

    • @DrVinayKumarSingh
