Phantom has more drag and less glide 😉

Great video, beautiful lake. Man I have no idea how you fly and get up so fast with such little wind. I live in the Caribbean. Puerto Rico. I weight 87 kilos. I used a 5 m pump wing. A big foil 2000 up front 400 stabilizer and a 110 L Infiniti hard board. It seems like I cannot get up or stay up until it is at least 10 knots or 12 mph wind. I have been foiling for about 8 months a few days a week depending on wind. When it is 14 or 15 mph of more than 12 knots I get up easy. Below that amount of wind I really struggle. I will pump 12-15 tines ans still not fet enough speed to get my heavy set up unstuck and on foil. My board, foil and me together probably weight 230- 240 lbs.

Any more suggestions would be appreciated. I have bought a higher aspect foil that is thinner but a little wider. I have not tried it out yet. A lot of shallow reefs and rock here so I have been hesitant to try it and damaged it. I really love thus sport and I am very committed to improving. Thank you for any suggestions.

      hi joseph.
I weigh 77kg, my wing is 7sqare meters, i use a foil with less profile and smaller stab, super short fuse. Also i ride off shore conditions where the water is 100% flat...
And it took me a long time to get my pumping technique on point.
in your case i really recommend the «F-one strike CWC 8m». You will have so much more power in light winds. with your 2000sqcm foil you should be able to start in 7 knots.
      Hope this helps
