Step three worked for me thanks!
I solved it by changing the herts (screen refresh rate). First go to 2:33, then click on"Display adapter properties for Display 2" after having selected display 2 on the top right corner. Then go to the monitor section and reduce / play around with the hertz by lowering it. I lowered it to 48 and it suddenly began working. Hope it helps
Method 3 did the trick. Thank you very much
Thank you very much! your tips works! :)
Thank you. It works!
thanks bro, this video is very usefull for me.
Thank your video was very helpful, wasn't picking up any connection to hdmi from laptop to tv after a recent update, I went to Intels website as you advised and installed latest drivers for graphics card and problem solved thanks again!
Been dealing with this issue for going on 3 days now… Gonna try these methods and see if they work on my Haytch DMI!
Also if anyone is having the same issue like I was on my gaming laptop. All I did is go to Nvidia and reinstalled my drivers and it worked.
Bro but my laptop screen broken someone said install windows 7 to work hdmi cable when I installed it also don't work any suggestions
Mine is working but when I plug in the charger, it stopped working, what's the solution please?
Hi there, thank you for your question! If you tried all the steps in the video and nothing worked try going to your power options and select change plan settings and change advanced power settings and verify that nothing is conflicting with your HDMI connection.
Method 3 worked for me
A simple restart did the trick thank you
3.43 I can’t do this as the screen is blank with the hdmi connected ? When I unplug then I don’t have a screen to select ? Please gelp
Hi there, thank you for your question! If you tried all the steps in the video I would recommend trying to update the display drivers as this can sometimes cause the issue. If that doesn't resolve your issue I would recommend trying a different screen/cable.
Hi can u help me? My laptop blacked out suddenly and when i tried to connect it to hdmi to my tv its not detecting it.
Hi there, thank you for your question! IF you tried all the steps in the video can you provide me with some more information can you turn the laptop on when not plugged into the TYV via hdmi does it still display if it does then its most likely and issue with the port or cable and I would recommend trying a different cable.
I'll share how I fixed my HDMI port that just decided to stop sending a signal to my secondary monitor... I was watching Invincible on my secondary monitor, walked away and when I finally came back to my laptop, when it woke up, the secondary monitor wouldn't come on. I swapped out cables, power cycled it, rebooted my laptop, updated the graphics drivers. Nothing worked.
Then I went to the support page for my laptop, updated the BIOS and then it started working again. It's so bizarre. Oh well, at least it works now!
the BIOS updated also worked for me thanks for this comment
@@KelvinWaweru-ip5dk Sweet! Glad it worked for someone else, too!
Well... I DONT KNOW WHY THIS IS WORKING,... at first I told it was so silly to unplug the cable but I tried and it works :))
Mine is worse, laptop monitor died due to water damage. The laptop only worked when connected to TV, but not to monitor, even with the same HDMI cable.
Tried again today and now the TV isnt connecting. It shows the boot loading screen and then goes blank. But i can hear the computer respond so i know it has successfully booted
Hi there, thank you for your question! It's most likely that there is water damage in the port itself as when u spilled on your laptop you should leave it to dry without touching it for a days to make sure all the water has evaporated I would recommend taking it to a professional for further assistance to see if they can fix the issue.
My laptop screen goes black but nothing show on the other monitor 😭
Hi there, thank you for your question! First, ensure secure cable connections between your laptop and the external monitor. Try different cables or ports if needed. Turn off the laptop, disconnect the power adapter, remove the battery (if possible), hold the power button for 15 seconds, then reconnect and turn it on. If none of those work try resetting your graphics drivers.
CAN I CONTACT YOU?? PLEASE
Hi there, thank you for your question! If you can provide me with some more information on your issue we will be happy to help.
Your display not clear
still didnt work, but thanks anyway

Hi there,
Could you please elaborate on your question? We're glad to help.
@@nermax9happening to me too! Did you figure it out? I bought a new monitor and now it’s not working
@@nermax9did you figure it out? I’m having the same issues? Thanks. Got a new monitor and now my hdmi doesn’t work yet all my systems seem to be running good
I updated my laptop and now nothing is showing when I plugin my monitor. I tested the cord and monitor both work. How would I fix this problem?@@RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware
This solution is an elementary
NOTHING WORKS
Hi there, thank you for your question! If none of those steps work its most likely an issue with the port itself and I would recommend taking it to a professional for further assistance.
I ordered a usb hdmi adapter maybe this will work
Didn’t work
Hi there,
Could you please elaborate on your question? We're glad to help.
Absolutely useless
Found this hard to listen to. 'H' is pronounced 'aitch' not 'haitch'.
none of them are working for me
Hi there, thank you for your question! If you tried all the steps mentioned in the video it might be an issue with the port itself I would recommend taking it to a professional for further assistance.
So, what if HDMI for example works with Samsung monitor, but doesn't see Dell?
Hi there, thank you for your question. If your HDMI connection works with a Samsung monitor but doesn't display on a Dell monitor, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem:
Check HDMI Cable and Connections:
Ensure that the HDMI cable is firmly connected to both the computer's HDMI port and the Dell monitor's HDMI input.
Try a different HDMI cable to rule out the possibility of a faulty cable.
Monitor Input Source:
On the Dell monitor, check that the input source is set to HDMI. Many monitors have multiple input options (e.g., HDMI, VGA, DisplayPort), so make sure the correct source is selected.
Computer Graphics Settings:
Access your computer's display settings to make sure it is set to extend or duplicate the display to the external monitor.
On Windows, you can press Win + P to bring up the display mode options and select the appropriate mode (e.g., Duplicate, Extend).
On macOS, go to "System Preferences" > "Displays" > "Arrangement" and choose the appropriate display configuration.
