what a piece of history and art....thank you Doug for sharing her with us
Thank you for posting. Excellent
It is good to see this and great a replica was built...it's like going back in time.
Glad to see Doug on the channel! Love his teachings on MartinP’s channel! Please get him in the studio next time you record. Thanks @takingoff!
We’ve had him on ITH several times! Check them out.
Awesome video and interview Dan. What a beautiful aircraft. Keep up the excellent work. Safe skies 🇺🇸🛩️
Good morning from Minnesota! Doug is a Terrific guy!
I love this video. Reminds me of the warbird video Cory Robin did a couple years ago. You can tell the passion is real.
I remember watching this plane fly at Oshkosh in the mid 80's and its speed is impressive. You just don't expect a big round engine plane to tear across the sky at that kind of speed. Your brain is programmed to think in terms of a Stearman or Waco and then this plane blows past them.
Reminds me of the radial engined Cessnas.
Thank you so much for not letting this be a Hangar queen
Aerobatics without a chute, bad ass.
There is no way I could get out of it at low altitude with a chute on my back.
@@B25Flyer Valid point.
Absolutely wonderful story and aircraft. Thank you for sharing it all
Must be the best looking Twin Beech! 👍
👍✅ so now that Martin is on the payroll should we expect more lean content? 🤣 great history lesson and beautiful plane!
I have a Mr. Mulligan kit (stick and tissue), partially built, that I started nearly half-a-century ago. I should probably get on with it!
I don't know the truth of it, but I've heard that DGA stood for "Damn Good Airplane."
Did the original Mulligan have a stick in it ? Does Elden’s ?
Saw it originally at the Drake Field Museum. Had no idea it was airworthy
Wow it’s got headroom. And leg 🦵 room too😂
Kermit will have it soon.
I hope not. It should be flown, not sitting in a hangar, like most of his aircraft.
