Since 1929, this event has been the gold standard for car shows. While the rest of the world was dealing with the Great Depression, enthusiasts in Italy were busy polishing their cars, because nothing says 'elegance' like ignoring an economic crisis.
Every year, the crème de la crème of the car world gathers here at the lake, transforming these gardens into a catwalk for the most exquisite automobiles on the planet. Like this year's Best of Show winner - this stunning 1932 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Spider by Figoni. Or the public's favorite, winner of the Coppa d'Oro Villa d'Este - the legendary McLaren F1.
Let’s not forget the annual debate over who wore it better. Decked out in their finest, attendees strolled around discussing everything from carburetors to car wax like the latest gossip!
And then there's the maestro orchestrating this symphony of chrome and class. With his charm and knowledge, Simon Kidston ensures that every detail of this event runs smoother than a freshly oiled V12 engine.
