I kinda like being able to see the actions a bit more from the fencers' perspective. Wouldn't mind this as an alternate angle but as the only ones available it leaves a lot to be desired. The box not being in view for the last touch at 14-14 is pretty bad

Has it become standard for 'pas' to be used instead of 'non'? And for it to be mangled so badly?

I think the standard is 'non' but Pascal Mage (this bout's ref) always says 'passe' when he gives attaque non

I didn't see the bout until now, but that is absolutely unbelievable. It's utterly incredible how often this has happened in high-leverage events even as the technology gets better and better.

@@dogestranding5047 That’s exactly the point. There’s hardly a worse possible situation in which to make this error. If they don’t get their act together, it’ll only be a matter of time before we see this happen at a medal round in the world championships or even the Olympic Games.

imo lee should've won 15-12 : ref gave two points to Volpi at 10:38, so score should've been 14-12 at 15:05, and then (the angle is really bad actually) for me it's attack right on this action so Lee should've won that one, and too bad she already had a yellow card at 14-14 when she turned around...

There was no live stream. Someone I talked to in the Egyptian fencing federation told me they would be uploading all of the footage at a later date but since they failed to upload the footage for the last two senior world cups that were hosted there I do not have much faith in that and am pursuing other options

@@garchompdude yes that's not great but they also hosted junior world's last year and because FencingVision was doing the replay stuff we have video of all of it. FencingVision almost always does junior and senior world's so i would expect senior world's to have good video

Since when is it’s the coach’s responsibility? This shouldn’t have happened in the first place. This is a FINAL at a World Cup. The reffing needs to be better
