It has character. I understand why the series is no longer canon, but I wish the concept had replaced some of the less exciting transformations in Super

Also, GT Goku is much more powerful than Goku in Dragon Ball Super. If you don't believe me, look at the countless websites full of information. GT Goku single handedly beat both Frieza and Cell in base form. He beat a villain who could destroy the universe and places like Other-world, and the Kaioshin's realm in a single blast. He beat him in SSJ4, which **should** be much weaker than Super Saiyan blue. This puts him well above DBS Goku in base power level. GT Goku in SSJ4 would not be able to beat DBS Goku while he's in Ultra instinct, but if they were both fighting in base, GT Goku would easily beat DBS Goku. Edit: Just to make it clear, the reason why I say that GT Goku's base form is stronger than Super Goku's base is because GT Goku took on a threat near BoG Beerus level and won without a powerful form like Super Saiyan God. GT was only canon to the anime since it was an original creation from the company. And 8t followed right after Z but now it's more of an alternative story or universe. Super is now the truly canon of dragon ball if you like it or not, since it continues the story after the anime and manga from the creator this time.
I love that, no matter who he fights with or how powerful he himself becomes, Goku is always genuinely excited to see his friend's progressions in power!
If you just like superficial cool looking stuff , then just keep watching clips , if you like og dragon ball adventure like episodes with goofy comedy , interesting story , emotional weight and character development just as much as the superficial cool looking stuff , then watch it , i'd recommend sub version.

It's non-canon. That doesn't mean that you can't play around with alternate time lines and universes. It's the only way GT can be justified.
GT was only canon to the anime since it was an original creation from the company. And 8t followed right after Z but now it's more of an alternative story or universe. Super is now the truly canon of dragon ball if you like it or not, since it continues the story after the anime and manga from the creator this time.
Toriyama is on record saying that GT is canon to its own timeline so yeah you’re right

I love that, no matter who he fights with or how powerful he himself becomes, Goku is always genuinely excited to see his friend's progressions in power!
Once super Saiyan 4 came into play it definitely got better

If you just like superficial cool looking stuff , then just keep watching clips , if you like og dragon ball adventure like episodes with goofy comedy , interesting story , emotional weight and character development just as much as the superficial cool looking stuff , then watch it , i'd recommend sub version.
