I haven't been to Rota since I was 10 yrs old. The beach line is much cleaner from what I see and hear. My grandparents lived in Rota across from the beach. But this was back in 1990. I always even now loved the food and miss foods I had as a child there.
Thank you so much for posting! I was born in Rota at the navy base in 1967. My parents lived there for three years. I am hoping to visit one day! So cool to see this! 😊
Rota bonito.
Great job! Headed their in two weeks - possible buy! Any suggestions? If I’m not there will rent to USN. Any advice ? We will be staying at Hovel Deques de Najera. CMDR Dan Retired
Hi Dan! I’m not familiar with the house buying process, but there are Facebook pages for it and I’m sure you can get in contact with real estate agents through there. There’s been quite a lot of construction during the past year- more and more houses are being built. Rota is quite small, but it does have diverse areas for its size. It just depends on what you’re looking for. When you walk around the city, you can see signs that tell you which properties are for sale too. They usually have a phone number listed as well. Good luck with your house hunting process! I hope you enjoy Rota !
Good morning, I was wondering if there are any avenues for sending you both a message in regards to possibly using some footage you two captured in Minot, ND for an Air Force production by the 3d Audiovisual Squadron our of JBSA-Lackland?
@@TJ-nq5nt I mentioned a lot about how we’ve been treated here in my culture shock video. For the first two years almost nobody talked to us, until we got a puppy. Now people only stop us to pet our little fur baby and it’s the first time we’ve really had the chance to interact with locals. If we’re out and about without our dog, then we’re back to being invisible around here. People seem really uninterested, unaware of their surroundings, rude at times too when they don’t step aside, or push you, or cut the line in the grocery store. All in all we haven’t had a good experience with the people here and are always surprised when someone is actually kind to us.
Hey! @erinmosey3439 i am vegan, and we’ve lived in Rota for 3 years now. It’s definitetly possible, but not super common. I made a video about eating out here: A full day of eating out in Rota Spain | vegan food in Rota | what’s it like to eat out in Spain ruclips.net/video/cA32RMym_Zo/видео.html . There are some restaurants that offer vegetarian and vegan options. Other restaurants that aren’t mentioned in the video are: Azúcar de Cuba, la Palma pizzeria, la Silla azul. Those all have very good food options.
Thanks so much! Since you say you are vegan and from Germany, I now have to ask what about there? I’ve always wanted to go and maybe be stationed there but I do like to eat out. Do they cater to non meat eaters? I always assumed menus would be all meat there
@@erinmosey3439 I am from Berlin which is basically the vegan capital of the world 😅 but everywhere in Germany you can find plant based options, no matter which restaurant you go to.

Hey Matt! If you have Instagram, you can PM us on the account 17emilia02. We’d love to know more details about your production.
Looks like a very quiet town. Is it?
In the winter it definitely is. In the summer, however, the population triples and it’s full of tourists

Would it be doable to be a vegetarian in Rota? Or do all the restaurants mainly serve pork?
