Price wasn't betrayed, he said on the briefing of the mission "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" that "you have to trust someone to get betrayed, i never did"

I love both of the extracts of this mission's themes. The Coup De Grace extract, perfectly reflects the feeling of desperation and sorrow when you first battle through the streets. But the second theme that starts at 3:16, similar to what plays during the intro scene to the Gulag (I think this one is called Of Their Own Accord? Haven't seen any actual names for the theme), is my favorite theme from any in this game. It gives off this undefinable effect of courage after such an insane story arc, perfect for its time when it plays as the allied convoy arrives and, even though Ramirez is recovering from the fights in the carpark, you get this brief little feeling of victory and respite reflected from this theme, but then it suddenly builds at 4:40, as it portrays Ramirez as he finds the will to recover his morale, and prepares to take the fight to the suburbs and continue the literal fight for his country; his people.

just remember Makarov isn't the real antagonist of MW2, its General Shepherd for working with Makarov to start a war, Makarov is just an extremist, Shepherd is a man who is literally insane and willing to and did betray his own country that he is sworn to defend just to get the war he has always wanted

Twice, first this was in the mission Wolverines! during the invasion of the U.S. and then in the mission Loose Ends when Shepherd betrayed Simon "Ghost" Riley and Gary "Roach" Sanderson and killed them, before used a cigarette to burned their bodies. While John Price and John "Soap" MacTavish were facing against Shepherd's men (Shadow Company) and Makarov's men.
Ghost, come in, This is Price! We're under attack by Shepherd's men at the boneyard! Soap, hold the left flank! Do not trust Shepherd! I say again, do not trust Shepherd! Soap, get down!
I don’t think people realize this is not the same as shepherds betrayal. It has similar phrases but it’s meant to parallel that theme, but it’s not the same
@@oxideactual1018 Well then, I hope any family or friends you have in Chicago, if they live there, tell you you aren't family or a friend anymore, because we can't have a president who says everything is under control, yet clearly crime is running rampant in the streets.
