  • Four day Kayak camping adventure paddling, fishing, and primitive camping the Santa fe river to the Suwannee river.
    If you get a chance you got to do this trip! Awesome scenery, great Bass fishing, and beautiful crystal clear springs to stop and cool off in along the way.
    We started at the canoe outpost on the Santa Fe river and paddled to the confluence of the Suwannee river and then down the Suwannee to the 340 Bridge to take out.
    We had a few challenges along the way! The river was up due to excessive rain and primitive camping was tough! Chad caught so many fish he broke both of his fishing poles!
    I saw something interesting while snorkeling the springs. Looked like some amateur film makers were making a film. I'm not sure leave a comment if you can figure it out.
    We used the Canoe Outpost shuttle service and for 65 bucks they will drop your vehicle off at the ending point.

    LOL, when you said you were about to swim up on an interesting situation I was looking for a gator. Santa Fe looks good, were thinking about that for a Scout trip next year.

    I remember back in the late 90s when I was a 12 yr old kid when the Santa fe was crystal clear like the springs all through the river. Love that place, especially Rum island b4 everybody found out about it

    What days was this trip? I'd like to look at water levels and flow online in order to compare to previous trips. I've done most of the Santa fe, but have yet to head into the Suwanee. The Santa fe is a pretty river. I'd like to do a similar trip. Looks like you guys had fun.

      Thanks! We had a blast! The dates were October 3-7 we had all that rain and the water levels were abnormally high. I would like to have pushed out to the gulf that would have been a cool trip.

    What’s the deal with camping? Do you just find a nice secluded spot and go for it or do you look for public land only?

    • @PADDLECAMPFISH
      @PADDLECAMPFISH  6 месяцев назад +1

      On this one we pretty much stealthed camped. The river was up and it wasn't easy to find a spot, so we tucked in where we could.
