1) Beavers "Thor & Edda" arrive

This year’s first two beavers have arrived at Interior Wildlife
as part of a conservation project by the Nicola Valley Institute of Technology (NVIT), led by biologist Tom Willms
.
Local property owners have asked Tom to remove these beavers where their natural activities can’t be tolerated
.
Now they will be provided temporary housing and care at IWRS until Tom & the BCWF’s Wetland Workforce can release them on Nooaitch First Nation’s land . That’s where they’re needed to restore wetlands that have gone too dry
.
