This is outstanding and very inspiring, it makes me think about what is possible with electronics and bridging the gap between vintage computing and modern computing
Eagles autoroutes did a pretty horrible job, probably due to bad settings especially around the card-edge connector and between the dip-pins. What’s most troubling may be the awkward trace connections to the edge-fingers very strange!
I should have inserted a comment into the video -- either the open collector outputs can be used or the I2C option header, but not both at the same time. My expectation was that if someone wants to use the I2C option header, and they also want a reset output, then they'll just hang an external relay board off the I2C bus, rather than using the onboard open-collector outputs.
This is fantastic Scott. I got more learning to do, got your original virtual floppy boards form OSH PARK just waiting on all the remaining components to begin construction. I look forward to having a go at the combined card thats looks great and a great way to economise on ISA slot usage. Look forward to progressing on this. It is great fun
I think its great that jlpcb are sponsoring you. You have done the work and you are sharing with us all which is great for inspiring collaboration and knowledge base. This is great
ooohhh woops i just brushed my teeth with my pcb cleaning tooth brush. Its all good though my teeth had no enamel on them and now i have a good layer of lead
I will never order again from JLC PCB. I didn't receive my order because parcel stacked at customs and their partner DHL wanted to change me 50 euros. For your reference my order was about 30 euros. I refused to pay 50euros to DHL. I guess that JLC has many cases similar to my case, but they don't want to help customers or to fix this simple problem. It was my first and last order ever from them. Disappointed
Just placed my second order with JLC PCB on Sunday. Initially I found I didn't get the $2 deal, but deleting the site's cookies and starting again did the trick (SHHH! Don't tell JLC PCB!). However I added a second board and the $2 deal was gone, but even at $5 it's still pretty cheap for 10 boards. It's Tuesday here in Oz, and it says packing & delivery was completed at 15:55, although I don't yet have the tracking number available, and I'm not sure what time zone that is anyway.

But STOP SCREAMING (after the 30: mark...)
How did you create the card edge connector in Eagle? Struggling to create one myself.
Me too

At 15:20 SDA and SCL were unused and re-allocated, but then the next change brought in a circuit that uses those signals as SDA and SCL.

you did very nice job bravo
Is the red board available? As a kit?
It would be nice but i am happy to get it made and assemble it but i am totally foreign to anything other than easy through hole

JLCPCB can seriously piss off. They've become the irritating fly buzzing around your head of electronics channels.
How about PCBWaaaaaaaaaaaaaayy?
