yet at the same time, i think it is clear that THC is not at all "like being drunk", it is a completely different state of mind, one that is not fit for driving, yes, but your balance is not hindered even close to that level, your judgement is not hindered significantly either, your awareness and short term memory are.

Kids are sponges, they take any information in their surrounding environment which shapes who they are when they become an adult

From their accent, behavior patterns and even the cultural quirks that humans adopt in many countries. You say you study this field, but cleanly you don't under stand that exposure to drugs during critical periods of brain development can alter neural pathways. Consequently, leading to long-term cognitive deficits, learning difficulties, and behavioral problems. The children will more likely to start using drugs as well. The same can be said about caffeine, the more parents consume caffeine the more likely the child will as well. That's why you see such a problem with obesity in America.
alcohol has existed for an extremely long time, because of this cultures have adopted many festivals or ceremonies evolving alcohol use. alcohol has shaped many cultures around the world so Its not something you can just simply ban without the forethought on the affect it will have. alcohol is a huge problem and it affects the wider society and it if affects children a lot, the same can be said about drugs. Do you think that because alcohol is legal that means any drug should be as well? If so then that is ridiculous mindset to have.

Idk the only thing I disagree with is not alerting anyone about her kids when she clearly did multiple times. And as for being left alone, I was left at home when I was a kid sometimes while my mom went to get groceries. 10 is old enough to leave alone to take care of his brothers for an hour or two. We don’t know how long she was gone. Could have been 15 minutes to go to the gas station idk. But she did tell the cops about her kids
