Digression -- I've been watching you two since before you were married. I fully realize no one is perfect and I'm sure you both have your less-than-stellar moments of arguing or being in a bad mood or whatever. We all do. That said, I have come to the conclusion that you are both two of the most kind, smart, hard-working, optimistic, wonderful people around. I deeply hope you both know what you have in each other. I think you do. Never take each other for granted. It makes me happy knowing you have each other and that your beautiful family exists -- just over there a few states to the east of me here in Iowa. Hugs and love to you guys! XO. p.s. I always believed in you, Tyler! You got 'er done!
What an incredibly kind compliment!! Thanks for sticking around all of these years - I always smile when I see your comment!
Your comment really touched me. With so many "trolls" out there, it's comments like yours that need to be acknowledged and celebrated 💜💙💚🧡❤️
I know - they make me so happy - of course they would face trials but the love is strong 🙏🏻😍😍
@womenofacertainage wow this was so eloquently said, and so very true. I would have to say that most of us feel the same way. They are in my minds eye the perfectly imperfect all American family that we all wish to achieve. I’m old enough to be their mother and my son is grown (he’s 21). I’ve been watching them from right after they were married. I’m a cosmetologist/ MUA by trade and truly loved watching Jess, her thoughts on makeup items and doing her makeup. She’s always honest, fun, and so down to earth. 💜💜
Great job Tyler! It's beautiful!
I'm always in awe of how much you guys get done in the house with two kids. It's just me & and hubby, and we can't seem to get even one project done. Well done 👏
Get a towel that matches the little pot of leaves on the shelf. It’ll pick out the amber colour of the soap dispenser and the warm tones in the floor too ☺️ Looks awesome!
Kohl's has some cute fall leaves themed kitchen towels that would still work great in a bathroom.
This is probably a dumb question, but how/when did you learn how to do all this? It looks fantastic!
Thanks for sharing both the good and the bad! Sometimes you see these home projects and everything is all smooth at the end but that’s not always real life. Also, the final reveal is AMAZING!!! Great job!!
Never been this early to anything in my life 😂 I will watch ANYTHING you and Jess post!
Tyler is truly a Renaissance Man!
Tyler-I love watching you plan out all of these projects for your home! And I am also one who believes that having a nice, organized garage is a lovely way to enter your home at the end of a long work day. Can you do a garage tour one day & show what types of cabinets, flooring, and hanging type storage items you like to use? I am weirdly fascinated with this type of stuff as well! 😂 Love both of y’all’s channels, and the podcast is wonderful as well!! I enjoy listening in on my drive in to work!
WOW Tyler you did a great job! It looks SO pretty!!!
The bathroom is lovely! Great job Tyler. Your willingness to learn and try new things is admirable!
This looks fantastic! If you ever want to change up the rug, a small Oriental runner would look amazing in there. 💚
THANK YOU TYLER… For nothing else than my Husband can now stop asking me every single day “is part 2 of Tyler’s reno up yet?” The joy I got yesterday when I could say YES was supreme 😂 you did an awesome job & it looks SO GOOD!!! 🎉❤
Another thing: the fact that we can see the wood texture under the paint, it’s because first you should have primed the wood, second, you should have calked the whole wood planks with a sandable and paintable calk, then, you should have sanded the calk to make it smooth, and then paint it. Maybe, if you sand your paint, caulk the surface with the right caulk and paint it then, you will get what you want.
Love you showing the process. It looks so lovely! It’s inspiring to see how great it turned out even amid the mistakes and honestly shows that integrity in projects pays off. Thank you for sharing!
You did an amazing job! Looks so warm and welcoming. Love the sage color and the rug is such a great match.
Tyler is living proof that you can do anything if you put your mind to it. Love the redesign!
It doesn't have to be a "bath" rug. Get the Target Navaho style one with rust and green colors and a rust colored towel? In rug section not bath. AMAZING JOB TYLER!
The whole thing just looks amazing! And it just wouldn’t be a DIY without a few hiccups. Honestly my favorite part was changing the light fixture. It makes the whole space look so light and bright! Great job!
Nice job. You can also change the toilet flush lever to match the rest of your bathroom hardware and it won't stand out as much. (we own a bath/door/kitchen hardware business, LOL).
It’s beautiful! Awesome job Tyler! Thank you guys for sharing! Always enjoyable to spend time with the Braun’s!
The lighting came out so great with the wall color and the shelf is just a perfect touch
A black and white patterned towel would look great! A neutral rug with some texture and that’s a tiny bit smaller would finish it off perfectly☺️
It looks awesome! I do have an idea though! Mirror a little higher, black mat and amber coloured towel
I adore the green! It is perfect for a small space. A coordinating wall paper on the panels would have been a cute fix as well. Thanks for sharing your journey with us!😊
It feels so much bigger and looks so much better! Kick ass job!
I actually like the wood grain showing.🤷♀️ My Dad and Brother in law were painters. They would prime raw wood first. Then sand, and paint. Then they caulked it. And touched up painted after caulking. And if it's a paint you need to do multiple coats with, they would sand in-between each coat. I think it came out beautifully. Great job!
Great job! What a blessing to have such a handy husband.❤
I love when Tyler says ‘I tell you that story to tell you ______’. It makes me chuckle every time
I absolutely love your DIYs, Tyler, but this one was particularly helpful. It's honestly refreshing and nice to see the what to do and what not to do side of projects.
We lived in a 100 year old house in NC and my poor husband is a very capable guy but boy.... we would start project and it would just devolve into chaos. Watching your projects just gives me just nostalgia for our early marriage days. You're doing great!
Looks absolutely fantastic 👏🏼 Truly a bright and calming space between the shade of green paint, wainscoting & lighting.
Unsolicited suggestion: a round rug will look the best on the floor in front of the sink.
I literally got an ad right as Tyler said “for the release!” And I’ve never been so upset in my life over a YT video lmao felt like when the season ends on a cliff hanger and you have to wait MONTHS to find out what happens
0:33 Omg Tyler , it’s midnight and you are seriously staying up for another two hours….WOWZERS how do u do it ! I would die lol 😂
I love it! It looks amazing, and your patience through the whole thing was incredible.
My other half is a decorator and he loves Purdy! They are the superior brushes of the decorating world!
Thanks for showing your mistakes and how you fix them. Very helpful!
“Time lapse #45” 😂
A black and white patterned rug would look 🤌🏽🤌🏽
OFFICE REFERENCE ~ “I did it” 😂😂😂😂
2 stamps on Tyler's man card. Awesome job!
I think a black/white striped hand towel would match/complement the lines of the wainscoting and colors of the sink/wainscoting and metal hardware in there.
I LOVE the paint color! Valspar should sponsor this video.
Ahhhhh yeah! My wife and I have been so looking forward to this.
Great job Tyler, I appreciate you not editing out the failures since it’s realistic to struggle, anyways your bathroom turned out great, you should be really proud of your new accomplishment, n add this to your resume
“T-Minus Who Knows” 😂
Two small vintage art pieces in gold frames would look really nice in there stacked above the toilet or side by side on the left wall!
Oh baby it’s so pretty 🥰🥰 yes Jessie you’re right - and I love see you encourage Tyler so much 🙏🏻
The bathroom looks beautiful! Such an improvement! FYI, as someone who has done A LOT of home remodeling, we have all made the silicone-caulk-on-a-surface-that-will-be-painted mistake, lol. The most time efficient solution (for your next project) is to caulk first (always!!!) with PAINTER'S CAULK. It's also what you would use around the painted side of window moldings and such.
It’s fine. It’s fine. 😊
I keep thinking how will you clean behind and down the side wall. It looks beautiful but those gaps behind the sink will be interesting to dust.
Way to go Tyler!! Hey I’m only near Cincinnati if you wanna come over and update mine!! Just sayin….
But seriously, great job. I love your perseverance and that you will ask for help when you need it!! 🏆
They make paintable caulk.
Great job! When you were cutting that shelf.. I’m telling you to stop those shelves are adjustable, lol!
Take a shot for every Okie Dokie 😂 but for real, this bathroom turned out GORGEOUS!! I'm in love with the green so much!
Your patience is aaaaaaamazing Tyler! I would’ve thrown my paint brush at the wall a long time ago lol!!
Congrats on the bathroom remodel. I think it looks fantastic. Love the green color.
My only OCD concern is that I feel that rug is too big. I would prefer it to be fully aligned with the cabinet.
Why didn't you use one of the higher options for the shelf under the sink so you wouldn't have to cut off part of it?
Me: I can't believe he didn't use real wood for the panelling. Rookie mistake!
Also me: has a tool kit from Ikea, owns no power tools, and rents. 😆
Cove moulding inside the panels would finish them nicely.
Looks amazing, great colour choice! So pretty and tranquil! Great job Tyler!
Omigosh!! I think I accidentally hit the ‘thumbs down’ button days ago when I first watched this!!! I’m horrified and quickly fixed that HUGE mistake! Love these guys 💜💜
Can’t believe that’s a freaking DIY job?!! It’s awesome
Pat yourself on the back! You did an amazing job 😊
White paintable caulk next time! That’s what I used for my board and batten walls
Val spar is the BEST PAINT
As soon as I saw those panels I thought, surely something else is going over them lol
The bathroom looks amazing, I love the sage color! It's so elegant. Your organized garage is the garage of dreams. This video inspired me to try a little project myself, I don't have your skills but I can definitely paint. 😀
I think the texture on the wainscoting looks nice. In the video anyway.
Tyler does the most amazing wotk!!! I wish my husband could. Lol The bathroom looks perfect!!!
Excellent job. Love the way it turned out. So pretty! Could anyone else smell the paint when Tyler was painting?? 😂
Wow that’s nice. Tyler know how to get down I am very impressed. ❤. Jessica is so lucky to have you most guys don’t even know how to do that. And did I mention you’re my age Tyler 🙏🏻😊
The end result looks amazing. I am big fan of green tones and black accents myself. From the technical point of view, I’d be slightly worried about the gap between the wall and the cabinet, mostly what is going to happen with the water that will drip there, and I am curious whether you couldn’t just place the inside plank higher/lower instead cutting it, since there seem to be multiple pre-drilled holes on the inside of the cabinet?
Love the new bathroom! You really did a good job Tyler. I am just concerned with the gap in-between the wall and the vanity. Is there something you can put on top to prevent stuff falling behind there?
It's beautiful! Makes me want to re-do our half bath!
Love the final product!
A black and white pattern towel would look so cute.
Your bathroom is so beautiful! The colors are gorgeous. So spa like. Tyler if you need more practice with wainscoting you can have creative control on my bathroom 😂
Yes, I only would have used paintable Alex caulking for that , it's idiotproof (typically what I need lol!)
It came out beautifully 😮
Love the sage green! My bedroom is that color and I find it to be such a soothing color!!! Well done 👍🏼
What a labour of LOVE this is!! APPPLLLAAUUUSSEEEE!!! I so know the feeling of a diy just going seemingly so awry and still, you go on and it came out fantastic! YOU DID IT!!
Wow. Amazing. You are very patient Tyler. Love it.
Tyler that bathroom is beautiful 🎉
Wow! Absolutely beautiful the way it all turned out!
Love it! So pretty with the amber accents. ❤
Looks so nice Tyler! Great job!!😊
Holy cow, it looks incredible!!! You did such a good job! Thanks for sharing. It was fun following along! 😁🌻
Great job and really love the green color you picked.
Looks amazing! My husband and I have been remodeling the interior of our 1960’s ranch (just north of you in Fort Wayne) for several years and my gosh have we learned a lot!
First! 🎉 And FTR, I really was rooting for you! 😆
First! Overly excited for this reveal. 🤣🎉
That came out so nice. You did a great job!
It looks amazing. Great job Tyler!
Tyler, you’re the man! So talented. 👍
I love the paint color!
Looks so wonderful!!! Great work Tyler!!! Thanks for vlogging it all too, I know that was so much more work too. Your house is so beautiful.
Wow looks amazing!! Great job!! I feel inspured to try some home renos ;)
Looks great! Nice job Tyler!! We had our powder room done 2 years ago in a similar look and you did as good as the professionals we hired.
Excellent job. Looks amazing
This was sooooo much fun to watch!!!! It came out beautiful! Great job Tyler 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
