blendshapes are very frustrating to make do you suppose you could do a video on some kind of script that will auto generate the blendshapes for tweaking I haven't found a tool that does this, it might need a custom python script.
im having a problem where facial expressions work but head rotation doesnt :/ head rotation is enabled in the iphone settings would i need to rename head / neck bones to something specific ?
I suggest you create a datatable for the mapping. Just create a simple structure containing just a variable of type name and create a datatable for it. Then just use the Get Data Table Row node to get your mapped name. Much easier maintaining a datatable then creating 52 nodes in extreme cases :D

For anyone else seeing this you are correct. If you added your Blend Shapes or Morph Targets in Blender like me or something like Maya then you dont need to remap them. As long as they are named the same you are good to go.

Hi J, I have a simple Mixamo running animation on my character and just now added a live link animation to said character but what happens is the face mesh stays in one spot while the rest of the body responds to the mixamo animation I'm just wondering if it is possible to use a Mixamo animation while having a live link face animation in unreal?
UE4 animation and film making is big rabbit hole to enter. Next you will be hooking up Houdini Engine to UE4 for VFX , Using a VR headset to shoot the scene with a virtual camera and exporting the render to Davinci Resolve for colour grading.
You can use anything above an Iphone 11 but Meta Human animator is only tested with Iphone 12 and above although I have seen it working on an Iphone 11 also.

My characters eye and eye lash are separate morphs I would need Eye Blink Left to drive both. I tried creating a second pin with the same name but it doesn't seem to work that way. But I want to make characters in a blender or buy them, and use live link face to animate them in UE. I learned how to make a mesh in blender using the faceit addon and animate it. I also bought a character for UE with a facial animation function. But I can not animate all this in UE. The iPhone is on, the character does not respond. I think it's a BP error. I've looked at RUclips tutorials and it doesn't work. I don't know where the mistake is. I need a teacher to guide me. The lessons cannot tell where I'm wrong (. Tell me how to be. Thank you!

The live link face works with the 8th generation ipad which doesn't have lidar so i think arkit supports most apple devices
