I love that you used the hood as protection against a winch line braking but you should probably describe that to viewers so that they know the importance
He has mentioned it a couple of times.
Just so people understand. It doesn't keep the line from breaking. It's one more layer a flying chunk of broken something has to get through before it potentially hits Jamie. Since it's a soft rope, getting through that and the windshield both (especially without being deflected away from straight back) is highly improbable.
Hell I might even instruct the hired help to lean over to the right out of the windshield area in case anything comes through the hood that hood will help but it may not stop a hook or something big like that coming through it and if you're just there keeping the motor just off idle and going straight for 10 ft leaning over the seat out of the line of fire is not a bad idea
Thank you, I was wondering why they had it open.
@@thedeathwobblechannel6539 Matt almost never uses hooks. He has the freedom winch line, synthetic rope with built in soft shackle, and stand alone soft shackles. Many people use either steel cable or synthetic line with hooks but not Matt.
Sure would be nice if you had something like a really big, offroad wrecker.
Call Casey's offroad recovery for the 5 ton
Call heavy D, he has a blacksock .
🤣🤣🤣
Lol
@@salty.oldcracker lol Casey said he's about 1000miles away .. going to be a long response time
I feel like once the heavy wrecker is done we're going to be seeing a lot of it
Can't wait
Wrecker?
definitely seems like most of the two vehicle jobs can become a wrecker job
Nope, not one vid. Gonna hide it one it's done.
I hope it doesn't make these recoveries too boring..
I love seeing your dogs run. You treat your dogs how they should be treated 👍
Anyone that thinks Matt abuses his dog's needs to mind their own business. I completely agree those dogs are living their best life and Matt is just happy they chose him
@@strat2tele Agree completely. Those accusing Matt of dog abuse are twisted somehow. Those dogs are well treated and get lots of exercise.
For sure!!

Lizzie's growth is amazing. And Trevor and Skeeter are like the chillest guys on a recovery. We get to see Ed. Matt and Jamie too. Good video!
And all three dogs
Can't wait for the heavy wrecker to be done so we can finally see on recoveries
Why is Lizzie’s growth amazing? She’s an adult who has had the past 2-3 years to learn the basics of recovering vehicles. I would hope any adult human, male or female could do the same.
@@jimyeats Because she's a blonde girl.

I just love to watch the old dog " Max " run. He still has it in him... Happy pups!!
When Lizzy is runnin the show she sure gets that country southern accent goin.
Even though she's from Utah.
Make sure folks. If you get your 1 ton diesel truck stuck to completely bury it until the tires free wheel.
Its very helpful
Congratulations Lizzie for yor amazing growth with MOR. I really enjoy when you get the lead and shine! You're a great woman who's worked for everything you've attained👍👍
It's nice to see the dogs running! You can tell they were loving it.
Good to see Ed and Lizzy again as well.
I love this whole entire crew. So thankful for this channel, such a wholesome group of people

what a cool community, everyone helping like that. so cool.
I love how much exercise your dogs get when you're out on recoveries - they are probably some pretty happy dogs!
Thank you Skeeter for using the word "plethora". It really means a lot.
Lizzy, you are really coming into your own leading the show. Hope to see more of you running jobs
I just love to see everyone working together so well and achieving such great results. This REALLY is a great family channel. Thanks MORR Team.
I've met peanut and Max and they are Happy, loving dogs. They like all the crew, don't know a stranger, we are all instantly a new friend.
It's a good thing they have that tiny truck to pull that huge jet ski.
Things I never get tired of. Ed givin me the weather, the sound of the Morvair, Lizzys accent and watching all of you do recoveries.
3 expert recoveries well done team.hey Lizzie how about treating your 1 million plus fans to some pictures of your wedding !!.
she has a few pics on her Instagram
See how switched-on Ed is, despite his years. At about 8:12, Ed was giving us the weather as Lizzy was about to pull out and turn left, Ed didn't miss a beat giving us the weather but very quickly looked to his right, Kinda snapped his hear right then back to make sure it was clear for Lizzy to pull out. With awareness like that, it’s no wonder he is living a long and full life. The guy is amazing.
WOW! - - Popping the hood before winching has to be the BEST new preventative safety measure I've seen on all these different channels about recoveries! - 👊👊👊👊👊
This is the best family friendly channel hands down! Even my toddlers enjoy watching your videos!
woohoo! this woman in Belgium is happy! a new recovery video, thanks Matt and crew.
I'm American but I married a Belgian 🙂Been to visit once, it's a beautiful country!
You can pull the 4 wheel drive selector knob out towards you to lock the rear diff on the ford super dutys. Love the videos! Keep up the great work, MORR!!
It's really cool that you put the hood up just in case it snapped and flew back, we recently hade a very bad accident In my Town because of a rope snapping and going through the windshield. Stay safe. stay humble
Just saw a picture the other day of a F250 or something with the front windshield busted in due to a hitch snapping off and flying into it. Killed the guy sitting in the front seat. Always put that hood up if you are gonna have someone sitting in the seat as you winch or pull it out.
Thanks! I was wondering why they put the hood up.
You learn something new every day.
That was great to see, but I’m disappointed with them not putting a weight on the strap.
And that's when he started to take a bit more care, after the guy was killed just south of there.
@@ralphg1891 yes that's the one 😢
Peanut loves life. And what a great life it is! Car rides all the time! Lots of exercise. All kinds of different places to run and swim. It’s an amazing life Peanut! You’re the star of these videos.
I like the procedure change with raising the hood to try and deflect anything that breaks. You may always have done that but I just now noticed.
Love the exhaust note on the MOORVAIR! You guys should bundle that and sell it!
It just amazes me in watching many of your videos of these rescues, how in the heck these people think they can go where they want to go and not get stuck! Absolutely ridiculous!
But it does make for good video and gives you the business!
Great videos, keep it up! A very good distraction for all the crap that is going on in our country!
Cool when bystanders help with their rigs.
Never underestimate lake mud. One time i got stuck like this truck and it literally took 3 trucks and a farm tractor to pull me out lol
The recoveries were awesome glad to see Ed there with you guys
Mat it might sound crazy, but we have a winch on our beach rig and everyone thinks its crazy because there is nothing to hook to. We just carry a boat anchor and set it for a pulling point to get out when needed. Maybe something you could "try" for when you need something to anchor to when winching.
Bury the spare tire in the sand and winch to that
Rory and Trail-Mater have a "land anchor" to do exactly that. Showed it off a few months ago when he high centered on a sand dune goofing off while searching for a customer.
Years ago they made a “pull pal” that I saw advertised in 4 wheeler magazine. Looks like a triangulated shovel din in anchor type thing. Works in dirt, sand etc, not so mush on rocks or frozen ground. I think it would be a good land anchor in this situation. Thoughts?
As others have said Land anchors are a thing - Pull-Pal is one of the best
@@GavinEarnshaw I live on an island, so boat anchors are plentiful lmao. Thanks for info on the land anchor, will have to check those out.
Excellent recoverys gentlemen and Lizzy (peanut)....glad to see the team in action....Lizzy doin great takin the lead....Jamie always helping (and editing.....i think) as well....thanks for sharing with us @!
Good to see Matt finally embracing the power of the winch. :D
have you ever considered carrying a land anchor with you on these jobs so you have the option of addling lead to your rig without 3rd party help? i live up north in Pete bog country and they seem to work great, a bit of work but much easier then getting a 2nd rig out to the middle of nowhere. i'd think it would also work well in the sand.
I made a land anchor out of a 32 inch SHANK off my SWEEP
If they tried to carry everything they MIGHT need, the Banana would be heavier than USS Gerald R. Ford. MW has said that he tries to carry the minimum needed to do the job.
@@roberthudson1959 "he tries to carry the minimum needed to do the job"
That's an affirmative. Recently, they didn't even have flashlights for a night job. 👀
I just love watching those dogs living their best life 😍✊🏾
Tip from SW wash spend time on the beach (long beach) have af150 4x4, carry anchor in truck, bury it in the sand a a dead head, works great for a little extra help when needed.
Great video and great job with the recovering God bless from GA stay safe
You don't want to mess with mud like that. That super fine sentiment has been collecting there for a long time so not only is there no traction, but it is deep as well. When even tractors are getting stuck in the mud pickups don't have a chance.
I imagine just down there road there is a real launch ramp made of concrete.
I'm guessing there's a doozy of a line to use the proper launch. probably why so many people try to launch wherever. Sand Hollow is a very busy spot.
Super fine sentiment on the sediment. Blasted auto-correct!
The lake is super low, so the ramp is likely way above the water line.
@@lucaswarren5947 "I'm not waiting in line. Watch this!"
@@ADBBuild Sounds right - while the lake is low is a good chance to extend the ramp, but that would take it out of service during construction. And if the lake fills up again, the extension might be forever useless.
5:16 Ooh... A italian Landini tractor in America? I wasn't imagining to see one there!
I'm proud that our italian tractors has reached such a far market!
out of curiosity, why are the wheels on that one so tall and narrow?
@@first_last01 on agricolture applications, those narrow wheels are used when you have to fertilize mais fiels and potatoes field, because the tractor need to fit between each row of crops without damaging it.... I wonder why they used narrow wheels to go across that lake
We came by to visit on Thursday morning. Your videos inspired us to visit from NC to see all the AZ and UT scenery. Actually a honeymoon trip, married in Vegas, Winslow, Sedona, Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe bend, trip of a lifetime. Hate I missed you guys, but I got to meet Lizzie and get my picture with her.
That first recovery almost looked familar, but big boss trucks seem like they don't do well there. It looked difficult but popped right out. Now we got Lizzy at the helm and she is sounding more like a Southren gal. Came up up a good game plan and got 'em out. She is just getting better with age, Great Job! Also, great footage of these recoveries as well.
"That first recovery almost looked familar"
Glad I'm not the only one that thought that. They just pulled a similar one out (last week?) that had a trailer on it (but they left the jetski in the water - which made no sense). Maybe the one last week wasn't quite as jacked up? Will have to go back and take another look.
@@michaelm.1947 They noted that in the video; I think people with big trucks like that overestimate their capability and underestimate their friggin' _*weight*_. Those things weigh north of 5000 lbs, which is kind of something you DON"T want to wallow around in mud with, at least not with the setup these people are running.
You guys are great! Seriously nice group of people! Matt has such a wonderful team!
With the areas he does most his jobs in those dogs are in heaven actually running in the free daily in different areas leading the charge those doggos love life

Awesome hands on family and crew! Stay safe and be vigilant out there Matt & family with the crew and four legged companions. You are a great asset in the community you service. Howdy from your next door neighbor in the Nevada desert!
05:59 Oh WOW, a Landini! They're slim to none around here. We have one at home and when I've searched for parts I've barely found anything.
I didn't expect to see one across the pond!
and the narrow tires
What is that tractor made to work on? That narrow profile looks like a sprayer type setup.
@@ronsmith1364 Row crop tractor for small crops like lettuce and vegies.
I left the farm in the 70's but I never saw a Landini in New England. Seems like to much of a specialty tractor for small farms.
@@karlschwaber9568 Landini is the make, not the model. They have quite a few different models (Mistral, Rex...).
I don't know which model the one on the video is. But those wheels can very well be aftermarket or an option.
One of the few I've seen around here is like ours and they had those kind of wheels.
What I know is that I've seen New Holland (and at least another manufacturer) that are exactly the same tractor but with a few different plastics.
I don't know much myself ours gets very little use.
This channel never fails to put a smile on my dial 😄 fantastic, Jamee and Lizzie are Stars.
I’m gonna stick with my position of diesels not being a good idea off road anywhere there is soft ground. That heavy front end makes for a dang fine boat anchor. Can’t wait to see how electric pickups are to recover when Matt starts encountering them.
They simply won't get that far off the pavement. Lol
Nice to see Lady out and about with the crew.I thourhly enjoy your adv mtires
Most newer tractors have a differential lock many people don't know where it is or how to activate it it's usually something you step on. I see on a lot of videos only one rear wheel turning.
Came to the comments for this LOL
Yes, it didn't look right at all.
Hey Matt I was a Wrecker Operator in the Marine Corps. The 7 ton Wrecker I upgraded too just before I got out had a ground anchor underneath it that I could plow down into the ground for situations like that. Not sure if it's feasible to incorporate that into one of your rigs but it sure did come in handy.
You might want to email them with a sketch/photo/mock-up of that. Given the amount of comments on here, it's possible he'll never see it. Hate to see a good idea go to waste!
Hah! I've always thought they should carry something like an auger and a Pole for situations like that too when there's no tree to anchor to. But yeah an integrated anchor sounds much better. Maybe it goes over their weight budget tho.
Great job guys. God bless you all.
Jason! Love the motto on your truck!!!
I don’t know how Matt manages to do some of these rescues without shouting, “what the hell were you thinking?” The situations people get themselves into is mind boggling.
It's a good example of how useless a lifted truck is
@@KNR90 lifted trucks are worse than useless. They make the truck less efficient(killing the already horrible mileage), ruin it's handling, and they make it insanely dangerous if the truck ever rear ends someone. The rear ending thing is such an issue that the highway safety institute is going to start requiring SUVs/Trucks to have automatic emergency braking systems because 500+ extra people die every year when a dumbass in a truck rear ends them. Depending on how you lift them(if it isn't level) it can also be illegal in several states.
Im so proud of how far Matt has gotten on YT he deserves everything good guy
@MrAbletospeak lol, let me guess, magat?
Now that’s how you get happy dogs; water play, high speed running, and then more water play! They will sleep well later on!!

My first comment. Trevor looks like a proud Father when Lizzie is talking. Love the clear admiration and respect everyone shows each other.
Love seeing those big jacked up pickup trucks stuck, they aren’t designed for true off roading , just for show.
It amazes me that more people don't use those inflatable off-road jacks
Could it tossed one of those deflated under that truck.
It would have floated that truck right out of that hole.
Could have had any vehicle with a rope pull It Forward once it was floating
getting stuck with jet skis is becoming a new trend apparently haha
Nice to see you are including the next generation.
Now just to find her her build vehicle and get-er done.
OH Wait have to finish the tow truck build first
That was a sweet looking ford!!! Good rim and tire choice for that size lift. 😍

Big truck plus jet ski's and mud, what could go wrong? Lets call Matt and show the world our poor decision making abilities!! Makes for a good You-Tube recovery video though. Great job Matt and crew, the wrecker would have made short work of this recovery, just saying.
Smart popping the hood so Jamie doesn't get hit with parts should the snatch or any of the other parts break!
After rescuing two Diesels back-to-back I was waiting to hear: "This is why the Morrvair, Banana and Heavy Wrecker are not diesels" - Matt. On a side note my Wife and I are in Presscott, AZ and I saw a Mavrick's and I said "we have to stop, Matt and the crew go to Mavrick's all the time", and my wife knew exactly who I was talking about! Lol!
Rule 1, Carry a spare belt and some tools for your SXS. Rule 2, know how to change it.
I was pretty surprised when I learned that they don't come with a spare and a tool kit like Snowmobiles do. Really should be standard on a belt driven vehicle.
Jason, they do come with a clutch tool to compress the plate. 1/4 drive socket set for the cover is needed.

I saw the pickup rescue on the owners channel a few days ago so I almost fast-forwarded through it , glad I didn't. The other channel didn't show the extra anchoring or that cool tractor. Way to go MORR!
Hey Matt, thanks for another great video. When hooking to the front of a tractor, look for an attachment point where the front weights are. You might even have to remove the two middle ones. Hooking to the front axle on a tractor can cause serious damage.
I feel like you just did a video exactly like this. Big diesel with Jet skis stuck deep in the sand and then a tractor also stuck.
