I charge the same per panel, only difference is I use a conservatory ladder, as you say customers like seeing impressive toys, and they always comment on how clever and safe it looks. Adds to the professional touch. Nice video mate
Well done Darren. Iv just sat here for over an hour watching your vids mate. Been in the business 24 years myself. Just been looking at your hot water heater that I may well have a go at. We’ve got 2 vans etc. We’ve been charging £60 plus vat for Conservatory roofs for years. Sounds like I need to up my price ! Anyway Great Vids bud 👍🏼. Cheers. Dave
Bloody hell our customers grumble when we say £30 an hour for the conservatory roofs, I'll direct them to this video to know they'r getting it dirt cheap!!
Your customers aren't getting it dirt cheap - your giving it away dirt cheap mate! - You say 'our customers' so I assume there is more than one of you so that should be £30 per hour per man. In my opinion anyway.
I quoted £30 for a conservatory half the size. I had no idea you could charge as much as £10 let alone £70!! Whoa... these big company’s don’t do small jobs so they give a crazy price. If they still want it done they still win. For me £30 for about an hour and a half is good haha
Kye Horton It's all got to be factored in mate. How long it takes, tools needed, chemicals needed, access etc. You can make £30 ph doing regular windows so why do specialized work for the same price.
Had a customer today priced windows at £35 but then said I guess that includes the roof so had to explain roof be £40 extra should of been more but couldn't as they weren't expecting it. £10 Per panel sounds good 😎
Hey Isaac - what they expect and what you charge do not have to be the same - if they are the types to expect everything they will experience plenty disappointment in life. I expected the BMW dealer to give me a new 5 series for £250................ man was I disappointed. Just because they think it's still 1987 doesn't mean you have to. :)
I clean one every month as part of there regular house clean, and i get really annoyed with the amount of mud and moss coming out of the pvc seperating the windows or at the top..😠 maybe i need to blast it out with a pressure washer!??
I propped the ladder against the side of the house on the right then did them standing backwards on the ladder (if you picture that) them moved the ladder to the left side to catch any bits I missed.
Hi mate cam you send me s9mw details of that soft wash set up...is it a DIY set up any advice would be appreciated also what gun with jets are you using to apply chems
Hi Darren. Been watching loads of your videos and they are very helpful. Quick question, if you go to a job that is about £15 and they have a conservatory, how much extra do you normally charge on top and do you just clean windows and frames but not any other plastic. I am new to window cleaning and don't want to be cleaning a full conservatory and losing money lol. Hope my comment makes sense
Makes sense - I always priced regular rounds at £1 per minute - been doing that for a long time now - if a job is say 15 minutes then £15 - if they have a conservatory that's another 10 minutes then I will add another £10 - and so on - For regular maintenance cleans the price is always just the windows and doors on the conservatory - Roofs are a spring clean job for us and we charge £10 per panel.
Darrin Perkins no one holds a gun to their head mate. I give them a quote and they can take it or leave it. £10 per panel is cheap. Call Thomas Sandersons. £75 per panel on average.
so you would be charging 25 per panel for inside and out looks like there is about 24 panels there so you would charge 600 for that? thats not far off the company your talking about
Its a long way off. The company in question is £75 per panel. Thomas Anderson. Call them up. Answer a few questions and try not to faint when the quote comes. Regardless of what they charge.... £600 in and out for this would be about right for me. Also remember what I charge is entirely up to me... that is the price for which I am willing to accept the job. No one holds a gun to the clients head... They can say 'no thanks' and shop else where but if you want me.. that's the price.
This one customer I took on last year first saw me cleaning their neighbours windows. They came over and asked me for a quote to clean their conservatory roof. When I finished the house I was cleaning I walked over the road to give them a quote. It was a glass con roof that wasn't that dirty. I asked them for £40. At first they both (husband and wife) were completely shocked. Their eyes widened and mouths opened. I thought they thought it was expensive and were going to say no. Actually they were very happy. Someone had come to house to give them a quote before me. They called a number from the yellow pages. The man asked them for £800 just to clean the con roof.
You seem to have enough business to be able to be picky and set your own prices. Most of us are struggling. I simply do not live in a built up enough area to be able to dictate things like that.
We have enough business as we actively hunt it. We charge no more than a fair rate, the only difference is we are not willing to haggle or be knocked down on price. They can either pay us our price or they can go to someone else. Thats their choice entirely. They come to us because they know we're fair.
@@Darren-Green I heard so many mixed reviews with them. I have no issues whatsoever. I use the deep cleaning microfiber pads to get the worst of then the standard green microfiber to finish it off. No smears, no dramas, no nothing. Takes no time at all and saves you getting covered in black water.
I wouldn’t pay anyone more than £30 for the whole conservatory clean, it’s going to take less than an hour and with the deepest of respect it’s not a skilled trade, so that seems a fair rate to me.
That is a great demo, the lovely white coming through on the rinse is very satisfying.
Thank you JD

Same
Never pressure wash a conservatory. Too much pressure on the seals and towards the vents and you'll destroy it
Thanks for posting!
Kye Horton I did them from a ladder against the wall. Could have used my conservatory ladder but was easy enough off the one on the wall.
How do you manage to do the backside of those finials? Looked a bit tricky to get to.
must admit thats a question i'd like to know the answer to too
