Regarding highway stability, I don't think it is unstable. I have driven Ignis at 120 kmph on many highways. I have never felt it to be unstable. I have driven long distances of around 2000 kms in one go. Absolutely no problem.

Punch se ignis 150 kgs kam hai, to pick up mileage jyada hoga hi. Aur ignis ka engine jyada smooth hai comparatively.

@@earth_1943 pick up is better as per my experience.. Drove Tiago on hilly roads from srinagar to jammu... The engine is has enough grunt and pulls nicely.. It is not that responsive like Swift may be due to Tiago being heavier.. But we drove with AC on.. Car didn't feel underpowered and those vibrations are well contained now...

I recently bought an Ertiga Zxi Plus Petrol 6AT kmph in Mumbai. Maruti top variants have excellent passive safety features. The only 2 areas they need to improve upon are: 1. Increase the % age of tensile steel in build. 2. Source plastics for interiors from Toyota's suppliers. Apart from this, Maruti is legendary.
Jignesh's Ignis: Avoid exceeding 80 kmph on highways. This car is Imdia's 2nd most risky car for toppling over at 70+ kmph as per a European test, after Missan Kicks. Don't worry if you drive below that speed. Be careful while turning. Keep speed low. On highways, tackle the curves and bends at less than 60 kmph.

Budget Indian buyers have to go with one of the tradeoffs:
-Maruti offers very good, refined and fuel efficient 4-cyl engines
-Hyundai also offers very good engines and cars are loaded with features
But both Maruti and Hyundai cut costs on build quality.
Tata and Mahindra both offer 5 star build quality cars but their 3-cyl petrol engines are average on performance when compared to Maruti/Hyundai/Honda. Diesel engines are sourced from Fiat as many other brands (e.g. Harrier and Jeep Compass use the same engine)
Honda offers a better balance and all of their offerings are rated 4 stars and above while their engines are superior/equivalent to suzuki/hyundai.
VW/Skoda do not offer anything below Rs. 10L. Their cars are known for their build quality and successful German engines but they have had a reputation of higher maintenance.
Toyota doesn't offer anything in the budget segment in India.

Tiago xt(o) is a VFM variant. The only problem with tiago is that it's gearbox isn't as smooth as Suzuki/Hyundai's gear box.
