I like the philosophy behind the guard vehicle. If I was a high net worth individual or head of state I would want something that blends in while remaining protected. Real bosses and leaders are driven in these.
the man who is Loved by most and also has a value to a nation does not fear any man. the only people that go out of their way to protect themselves are either paranoid leaders/dictators, wether it is because of a mental sickness or not does not matter here, as these people have or are doing something bad. they know they upset people. they know they have caused anger.
I mean just take the Dutch prime minister. he rides around on a freaking koga bicycle. he knows he has upset some people but never to a point where murder is what they desired.
so I say no, real bosses and leaders do not drive in these. real bosses and leaders have humbled themselves and drive in front of the people using only what they have or a slightly better version of what they have. the people that drive these things are narcisists, scammers and frankly, people you dont want near you in the first place.
but they shouldn't even bother with their armour. we all know that once death arrives and looks you in the eyes, no one will be able to help you, and all the damage you have done will be send right back at you.

Had the pleasure of being in a 2020 Mercedes Armoured vehicle with my wife when we visited Turkey on an official visit from the NATO Defense College in Rome. It was in a class of its own, in security, comfort and style.

Yes it is and security exists for a reason. I agree it is probably overkill but stay on topic. The car is beautiful and security wise is not available from Lower models. It’s specific due to its function which comes at a cost. I doubt they had a large fleet of these.

4,8 tons, I can't imagine how it compares to a 2.4 ton Maybach with the same body. Those tires are squealing like pigs :)
the whole thing is built to be stronger and reinforced so i think it would be ok. Handling would abviouly be worse
i think it uses wider tires than normal and more heavy duty tires.

612 HP V12 should be enough to get to 300 km/h on the autobahn. Imagine braking 4,8 Tons from 300… the brakes will melt like butter if those aren‘t carbon discs.

Dubai best selling Cars are Toyota Landcruiser and Nissan Patrol or Cadillac this Cars are gods my friend and are expensive like this Mercedes. And my Toyota Camry is in Top 6 of World Best Selling Cars. Where the Mercedes? Maybe place 50....xD My Camry is very famous for Police and Taxi Vehicles in Asia and USA.

Always loved Guard Class vehicles ..but some how the newest iteration of the S-Class doesn't seem right.. Its obvious from 300mts it's an armored car. That was not the case with w222 and w221.
exactly. And it‘s not due to the different door handles or the windows. Something about how it sits and the proportions. Very weird.

And in a guard I guess you have a very very high skilled and professional trained driver.
@@sund5 well look at Romain Grosjean his car hit the rail at 220km/h and was cut in half, then engulfed in flame and he was all good. I don't think it's the speed that matter but the specificity of the crash, angle, what you hit etc

You can unluckely snap your neck falling down first step on a stair.

And you are not strapped that we'll down in the Guard. Just a normal seatbelt. If you are not so rich and entilteled that you don't think that stuff is nessersery for you :-)

Nice video but I would've liked to know a little bit more how it felt to drive compared to a normal S-Class. You said you can feel the weight during the slalom course but what about normal driving? And is the ride as smooth as a normal S-Class?
