- "Obsesión" is a 1935 Spanish-language bolero song by Puerto Rican songwriter Pedro Flores. The song is one of Flores' best known has been recorded by many artists. Flores was resident in New York where his Cuarteto Flores, including Panchito Riset and Daniel Santos, made his boleros popular.
Members of the “LATIN ALL-STARS” members of the Tito Puente (Golden Era) orchestra came together in a recording to pay homage and honor to their late band leader. Recorded on March 26, 2005 this video clip is a magical moment in Puerto Rican musical history.

Two of the greatest who both left us way too young and always gave us fantastic musical expressions! I saw both of them in various venues and they were standouts! I watched Hilton Ruiz when he was with Rahsaan Roland Kirk in his last band which also included Steve Turre on trombone…what a band that I caught at the Village Vanguard! And then Hilton and Steve went on to have amazing careers!
Hilton Ruiz put out so many amazing LP albums over the years. Steve Turre is still socking out homers!
