This is why I got a C43 over an M340i. There's actually more to it than just straight line acceleration, which is hard to believe for a lot of people, I know. The C43 just felt more involved, the sounds, the response, the transmission, they all feel like they are working together. The luxury is a lot better on the newer models as well. Better infotainment screen, super nice digital gauge clusters and that AMG Performance Exhaust is amazing with those pops and crackles. I think the C43 is very close the the C63 in terms of visceral feel and the M340i is a lot more muted than the M3. The only downside to the C43 is that 9 speed automatic transmission is tuned very sporty so in 1st and 2nd gear it's still jerky, regardless if you are driving in Comfort mode. Also, you CAN find great deals on a C43, it just takes work. I got a 2020 C43 with almost all options (no heads up display) and it was $570/month lease $0 down.
Man thanks for this comment lol I’m currently on the market for a car also the options m340i , c63s,c43 I test drove the m340i really loved it but something is like man that c43 is sexyyyy as hell but for the price in Canada it’s better you just get the c63 haha I’m going to be 22 when I’ll be purchasing it we’ll see which one I’ll end up with I really like the m340i but man my family has had enough bimmers really love them too but I want something different that’s why I’m thinking either c43 or c63 we’ll seee
the part where you mentioned passing on the new m3 because of the grill hit home. super unfortunate, ive tried to learn to love and at least like it, theres too much going on just looks like they tried too hard.. the m340i is impressive looking and so is the c43
Brand new 200 môre a month on a.lease is the clear reason you took the wonderful bmw ..pre-owned buyers it seems like the c43 is possibly the better choice
I paused the video when I saw the back of your car to write this... Nice C43, but that sucks that they didn't put the nice C43 AMG badges back on the rear of the car after it was repaired from the accident it must have be in. That's usually a dead giveaway that it was in an accident. In some cases, people with base models will stupidly delete the badges hoping to make people think it's the more expensive model. I doubt people would de-badge a higher model like this C43 AMG to make it look like a C300... Then again, some people do odd things lol. Anyway, I'd definitely put the emblems back on if I were you. Just my opinion. To each his own.
I think it is a recurring theme these days. Once upon a time I would agree BMWs were better drivers cars and for non go fast versions they still are. but as soon as you go AmG / M that trend no longer applies and I personally find AMGs more crazy and fun
How do you compare this to your GLA45? It says on paper the horsepower is roughly the same but of course its a bigger engine. I'm currently driving a CLA45 and went against getting a GLA45 simply because i think the CLA45 looks so much meaner. I love my CLA45 but my lease is near over and i'm thinking maybe a C43 or BMW G20 330E xDrive or a F30 BMW 335D xDrive. I just hate the entertainment system of the Mercedes, like you said, so outdated. :(
The new CLA45 is super nice. If you can get a CLA45S, that's quite a bit quicker than the C43, even with the smaller engine. Next year, the C class is getting a huge refresh too, so if you want to wait for that for the much nicer interior, but unfortunately they will downgrade the engine to get a hybrid powertrain instead.
A few notes: The interior is not better than the M340i...The M340i does not have a stuck on ipad. The engine is also slower. The M340i is more refined, less jarring over bumps and much faster. As far as the sound system the Burmester is not better in the C class. It is however better in the E and S, not sure why but it is greatly superior vs the C. Also the sound insulation is better in the 340. The 340 has won almost every comparison for a reason...I own both BMW and Mercs so i have no reason to lie....

@@Flamef30 The M340i does have that straight line speed though. It's the quickest car compared to its German rivals.
