Can you tell this week's theme is about Shimonnu and drinking? I discovered a lot videos about it recently, so I just decided to sub them together. This was also a very cute semi interview so I'll sub parts of it in the future.

I didn't think I needed to talk about Okamoto-san's scandal but since there's a lot of misinformation spreading around, I guess I'll have to address it. A few months ago, Okamoto-san was caught entering a love hotel with an anonymous woman by the paparazzi. After some digging around, they found out he was already married to Ogame Asuka and thus was cheating with the anonymous woman. A lot of you guys don't seem to believe it so here are some sources.

To me, his awkward/panicked reaction shows he knows he just screwed up.

It's pretty obvious he knows he is guilty. He said things like “My heart was weak and was lead in a bad direction” and “I’m sorry for showing this pathetic/shitty side of myself.” Mafia-san replied "well my relationship with you won't change, maybe others will, but it’s about how you will improve yourself from now.” When it's revealed that a seiyuu is secretly married, a small portion of the fans can feel "betrayed," but colleagues wouldn't act like this.
If he didn't cheat, he would just say it outright. He's being vague for damage control. Some of you are in denial or just haven't read too much into it. You're free to continue to like or dislike Okamoto-san. If he changes for the better, hooray, if he doesn't, welp. For me, as long as he's in a video with Shimono-san, I'm going to sub it, simple as that. And honestly guys, do something better with your time rather than investing yourselves in drama. Go read a book, exercise, do some art. Accept it and move on.
Yalu Subs I found out the day it happened and he hasn’t stopped being my favorite seiyuu, because his personal life is that, HIS. I admire him as a Voice Actor because I love so many of his characters and there’s no denying that he’s incredible at his job, and that’s all I care about.
He could've been blackmailed so he couldn't speak out. A part of that video was obviously cut out. In the middle of video. That part might be where he explain everything. But they cut it out to make him look bad. His laugh could also mean there's nothing and he doesn't understand why he was asked about it. And after the STALKER interviewer consistently follow him all along the way, asking all those private matters, Nobu still being unbelievable polite with him. Normal people would be mad right? Interviewer ask you're so famous nowadays, he humbly answer that he's not famous and he'll continue to work hard. I saw Japanese youtuber react to this video, he also think like me. That Nobu is sooo polite. even with these tabloid reporter. My assumption is, they couldn't get something from that video so they set him up to get that pictures. They said he was very beware of surrounding when he went out shopping with his wife. but the picture with that woman, he's walking freely. It's strange isn't it. It seems like a set up. He could be just walking pass that hotel with that woman, maybe he was asked to tell direction to train station. And why he say sorry, coz he feel sorry that he's not careful enough. After the stalker interviewer he didn't take any action coz he think he has explained everything. he didn't think he would be set up and become a big news like this. and this news obviously hurt people around him. That's what he feels sorry for. That's why he didn't mention he did cheated. He's the type who feel very responsible for everything, to me who’ve known him for almost 10 years, it seems like is carrying this whole matter alone coz he think it's his fault for not being careful enough and hurts everyone. That's why he apologised again and again everywhere he appeared for weeks. And that's why everyone around him continue to work with him. coz those around him know him better than we do. Japanese fans who understand Japanese and its the context much better than we do and know how tabloid reporters do their work in j-entertainment world better than we foreigner would understand, they(Japanese fans) continue support him and give him a lot of encouragement in his blog. I don’t think they’re too kind or blind. They’ve also thought through out this and decide to believe in him. This is another possible story I want to share. I hope anyone who read this consider about these weird parts of the news too.

I pretty much didn’t stop liking Okamoto because his cheating is another story. It’s his personal life. Admiring him as an seiyuu has nothing to do with his scandal. I just love his voice and for giving life to all the characters he voiced and making me enjoy my childhood because of him. Of course, I’m disappointed as a normal person and it made me change my impression on him but of course Outside Nobuhiko and Seiyuu Nobuhiko are different for me. His personal life got nothing to do with me. I simply love him as an actor and I just watch my animes for fun

I didn't stop liking him as a seiyuu because that's just what I liked about him. Although I do watch and dig deeper sometimes about him (not only him though but on other seiyuus as well), his personal life doesn't, and will never, change the fact that he's a professional in this field and he's really great as a seiyuu. He's fun to watch in live readings as well so I really don't care. I mean, seiyuus are now considered as celebrities especially when they're that popular right? So I like his works, doesn't mean I have to like his life as well. People really have to get a life and stop patronizing celebs as much so you don't get hurt when they fail too. But well, each to his own.

Yes they are! This program was an episode of Anime Song Premium which is music broadcast of anime songs released throughout the year. They're typically hosts by VAs and other music artists. Shimono VA's as Zenitsu from Demon Slayer, Dabi in BNH/MHA, Sho in UtaPuri for some well known examples. Takayanagi VA's Hinatsuki Mikan in Demon girl next door and Konohata Mira in Asteroid of Love.
