my teacher gave me this assignment I'm crying the man scares me and I want the dog to run I don't know why my teacher thought this was a good thing to teach the class. though it is scary it is well written besides the fact I'm in tears
i found The Century magazine archives and it confirms you are correct - it starts off differently in the first sentence - another deviation that i found in common with other (more correct) texts on the internet - there is a quotation that begins the story that everyone seems to ignore - "He travels fastest who travels alone ... but not after the frost has dropped below zero fifty degrees or more.-Yukon Code."
@@mickackhurst6609 Totally agree with you Mick! London is the man! He's not promoted by mainstream culture and learning due to his political persuasion which is very present in some of his books. If it wasn't for that, London would have had a better reputation then Hemmingway and rightly so. He is huge in some other countries.
