He had dreams 😔
Brett is actually very correct about UP's soundtrack not being overtly happy.
It's a tranquil, peaceful kind of happy with hints of nostalgia and reminiscence.
It's actually super sad...
It's definitely bittersweet because it plays when you see them fall in love and when he's left alone to become a bitter old man, and I tink it also plays when he's thinking about her
quite the opposite in fact, not sure what it's supposed to sound like, but its so fcking sad
I'm imagining Brett being sickened by the sweetness at the start of UP and then getting more and more satisfied as the first 15 minutes unfold.
Eddy : "They deliberately chose the hardest piece to recognise"
Plays 2 first notes
Me: (yelling) Duel of fates!!! Star Wars!!
That was pretty cringe honestly lol. Duel of the Fates is tied with the main theme and the Force theme as the most famous and recognizable themes in Star Wars. It beats Leia's theme, Battle of Heroes, Across the Stars, the Imperial March, etc
@@kalebramirez7327 I would say it is pretty recognizable but definitely not tied with the main theme or Imperial March. I feel like because of the original trilogy's sheer popularity and how long it has been in the public eye that those would probably win if you did a random sample.
Each episode had a couple extremely recognizable pieces. Duel of the Fates and The Flag Parade are the ones from Phantom Menace.
I think maybe it's just to do with the prequels being less popular overall - I mean if you're not a big star wars fan, you might never see/hear the soundtracks from the prequels. I guess I just mean - if you only know about Star Wars music from pop culture or playing an arrangement in orchestra, you might not have had much exposure to the music of the prequels. Which is a bummer, because I think the prequel soundtracks are excellent - I know the movies aren't as great, but the soundtrack quality stayed excellent even in the prequels. Duel of the Fates is just a fantastic track.
Exactly the same here. Two notes and I knew. It's pretty crazy!

You have to understand that the prequels are nowhere near as popular as the main trilogy in terms of theme music. And not everyone who has seen the original trilogy has seen the prequels. They're definitely a little young to grow up on those films too.

Howard Shore got every award under the sun for Lord Of The Rings, but I feel Brett and Eddie calling it "soooo gooood" is the ultimate knighting.
As a film music aficionado, I really enjoyed this episode. I can’t emphasise enough how amazing the score for “The Lord of the Rings” is.

brett being completely alienated from pop culture and eddy being the bridge to that pop culture creates the most wholesome of their videos imo. they did a couple of videos like this and it’s just so funny watching brett uncaringly be clueless.

So iconic that almost no one knows it. Iconic is something as old as star wars still being recognized to this day. Or beethovens and mozart. Or especially queen of the night. Iconic. @@LilyUnicorn It’s older than star wars and so iconic that most people would definitely recognise the piece even if they don’t know what it’s from.
That said, it’s not that translatable on the piano because of the very specific arrangements Morricone used. Voices, whistling, his stuff is basically synonymous with Spaghetti Westerns. If you sang the first line I bet most could sing the next line back to you.
