Love these guys. Got into them after seeing them open for Tonight Alive a looooong time ago. Met their frontman Ollie at warped and got to have a nice conversation with him. He’s EASILY one of the most genuine, down to earth guys in the music industry. It was wonderful getting to speak with him and hear more about himself and the band. He is incredibly kind; if you ever find yourself in a situation where it’d be respectful to do so, I strongly encourage you to introduce yourself and chat with Ollie. He’s really an incredible guy who’s overcome a lot in life to be who he is today. I absolutely love Broadside; they’re all rarities in the music industry
"Can't prepare you for that kind of hurt" 😭 that's exactly what he wants to tell me before leaving and chose to hide his death to me because he knew I can't ever handle it well alone and truly I can't. It's been 14 years and I just known about it year 2021 but I just recently confirmed it is true. I didn't know he's dealing with cancers, he hid the pain too well and doesn't take any pain medicine according to his autopsy but he died alone because of heart attack but even if he survive it he only has a month left. I didn't know anything, i just thought he finally found a place to settle and enjoyed his new life somewhere since he really wanted to make a new chapter in his life and so he must go somewhere to settle things before anything. He died in the beach. I'm just still bittersweet happy, knowing he died peaceful & happy seeing sunset before his time comes.
I bought tickets to a concert that Broadside is opening for, and never had I heard of them before. After listening to this song, I'm an instant fan. They so eloquently conveyed an emotion that I've felt when I've lost love ones and my best friend, and I'm almost in tears listening to this. It's like they reach into my soul and conveyed how I feel when I am missing those who are no longer here (the pain in never gone, but comes in waves every so often) . 💔 This is so underrated.
Broadside has grown into one of my favorite bands after ITRS. So far, I am not disappointed with these releases 👍 Can't wait to buy the album and see you dudes live. Love from Cali.

If all of their stuff sounded like this. They would be so much bigger. His voice goes way better with this instead of the rock they usually play. Think it's time to switch up fellas.
