Thanks for recommending that. I just got my first can of it today, and even though I usually only use heavy holding ones, I'm really liking it so far. Love the shine.
I used some Royal Crown Pomade today for the first time. I really like it. It made my hair feel and look really smooth! Great product!!!! P.S. Great review! Thank you for posting it!
Hi Cameron! Great reviews, keep it going. Quick question what is better for a slick look with alot of shine that will last all day? The RC pomade or hairdressing
Hey Cam, thanks again for the pomade advice in your most recent video! I tried the Royal Crown Pomade based on this video and I love it as well! Keep up the good work! We all dig what your doing man.
I never noticed a scent with this one... very subtle I suppose. It’s tied with my favorite, other being black and white (although I love black and whites scent so that’s got a slight edge in my opinion)
Nice review dude. Have been looking for a hair product that gives that wet look for slicking back. You've sold me on it. Going to order some online now.
FullSpektrum. If the container says "pomade" then that is what it is. The hair dressing will say "hair dressing" on the container. They seem to alternate between silver and red lids on the pomade now.
hey quick question, i have the "exact" same hair type as you but your hair seems alot straighter than normal in this vid. is that all from build up (if so was it just from royal crown if you rememebr) or did you have it blown out or relaxed at the time? i just want my hair to be straighter but without any work like straightener or blow dry/ whatever, thanks!
I just bought this pomade I'll be gettin it around next week. Your review really helped me to get it. Lately I've been using Suavicito and i get what you go through from your Suavecito review plus since its hot here in Texas idk like it makes my all frizzy and it starts to wear off. Hopefully this pomade will satisfy me thanks for the review brother.
I have been trying to do my pompadour like yours for a while but I feel my hair isn't long enough in the front. How long do you usually let the front of your hair go?
Thanks! That really helped out! By the way, I've never used a petroleum based pomade before, I've been using water based. Does Royal Crown, or petroleum based pomades in general, stay pretty strong throughout the day?
Not hard to wash out an oil based pomade, but it is a learning curve. If you normally wash your hair they will be out in 3-5 days, if you de-grease, you can get them out on the spot. The stuff that is left in is called build up and it offers greater hold on following days with less pomade that needs to be added. I have never had a problem with Acne and pomade so that just depends on your own skin
"I dont know what it is, but it just works for me". It tells you what it is on the side of the can. Ingredients: petrolatum, olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, fragrance.
I have an important question, I've been using water based pomade for quite a bit but it feels like it's not working for me. I don't know if it's the product, my hair, or the way I applied/style. For me I could style it and all but when it drys it tends to look messy and have big cracks and it just looks blahhh. Side note: I have loose curly hair. So what I'm trying to get to here is, do you think I should move to a oil/wax/petroleum product? Would the build up of product help the hair form and not split? Or would I have to change the way I apply the product. If you do say use an oil based, what would you recommend? I'm looking for something that is light but holds well, High shine, and is easy to apply (not ripping my scalp off). Thank you so much for your time.
I think an oil based pomade would help a lot because they do not dry, so you can restyle if needed. Some lights that I would recommend are Royal Crown Pomade, Slick Dick by Dick Tremolo's, O'douds light, Granddad's light, Orange Blossom Special by Mr.March, Black and White, and Lockhart's light just to name a few.
hey man, i dont know what pomade you are using, but most of them dont really work, ive been on suavecito strong hold, shiner gold and super shiner gold and always get similar results like yours... nowadays i use Dr Rubin's pomade... it's just peeeeerfect, it has a big ass hold, and its beeswax base, so it doesnt make a big trouble to take off like the oil pomades, the only thing its that it hasnt a lot of shine because its made of wax, but if you want to keep using water based pomades, i recommend you the layrite super hold... its the heaviest hold of the water based pomades... you should take an eye on that PD: i dunno but if youre from mexico, more specifically monterrey (my hometown) theres a store that sells all kind of rockabilly vintage products, they have a huge pomade variety... from water to oiled based pomades
i hear this is a old school pomade like Murray's can this be bought at stores like Walmart and riteaid since it is pretty old since most older pomades do sell at stores?
I hardly ever de-grease, and this pomade is light, so you can build up with it for however long you want, and then use a water based pomade the following day and it should be out :)
cool! i think im gonna start using this as a plus, the thing is that i use dr rubin's pomade... it has an excellent hold, but it doesnt have a real big shine, because the wax base, and i want to combine it with this one because this has a biiiiig shine, thank you man, great review
Hey @CameronA I need a super strong pomade that will definitely withstand heat, sweat & that will dominate my super straight, asian like hair. Any recommendations? a million thanks!
Have you tried Lockharts Goon Grease or Reuzel pink, those work well. P.S you can look up the Pomps RUclips channel, the main guy fits your description.
sharkyboy99 Suavecito is an orthodox water based pomade, so basically gel. This is an oil based pomade. Every oil based pomade does not harden and dry up.
Hello what are the ingrediens of the royal crown pomade. I know that the hair dressing has only petrolatum olive oil and parfüm. But i need the ingrediens of the (pomade) of royal crown ? Thanks
question, i've been having a problem with one side of my hair flopping downwards after a couple of hours after using this stuff. It works great up until it starts to fall, any tips?
It doesn't work for me i have complicated hair to stylize a pomp. The hold is not that firm. But the shining its pretty cool. I had to mix it in with a little Murray's in order to have a cool style and works out just fine. My respect for your review on royal crown.
Just a heads up to anyone who wants this stuff without having to order it online. They sell it at Giant Eagle. Not sure how many states have Giant Eagles, but in my area, they are about every other block
+Bryan Vega nowadays if you order them they will both come in a silver tin, one of them says pomade and the one that says pomade has more hold and a better scent.
+Arijeet Das it will take about 2 to 3 washes to take it completely out, but I just put a water based in after 3 days of it building up in my hair and then it eventually it is gone.
Just got my first pompadour but looks like shit right now because my hair isn't long enough looks like shitty hipster hair right now guess I will have to grow it out longer and look into getting this royal crown stuff and grow it out longer can't stand hipsters already and I am for sure not trying to look like one there so pretentious and just plain arrogant anyway thanks for the review an sorry for the rant lmao
I must say that I hate this pomade. I was so excited to get this one while waiting for it to be delivered when I bought it off Amazon, but I'm let down, bigtime. It has like, no hold at all. I can lean my head to the side and my hair falls out of place (not that I can actually style it to get in place anyways with this pomade). That's a big no-no for pomades for me. So thanks, Royal Crown, for making an overall shitty product. See, while I LOVE how strong the original Murray's pomade is, I, at the same time, hate how thick it is and how long it takes to wash out. I've been using "Sportin' Waves" gel-based pomade and just wanted to try something different. I guess I'll just keep going back to using the far superior one I've been using. Heh. So disappointed.
xHibachi24x I experimented the other day. I used 2 big scoops of this pomade that I already had: bellezaplus.com/2210/softsheen-carson-sportin-waves.jpg Combed it through, then used 1 big scoop of the Royal Crown pomade and my hair was looking, as Cameron says, "really freakin' good." But, I guess I'm still in the testing phase for finding a single pomade that holds pretty well, but washes out decently.
Ethan Johnson Yeah, I've since learned that. I also learned that it's good to use like, 1 scoop of heavy pomade and about 2 scoops of Royal Crown or another light pomade at the same time. I've also since bought Murray's Super Light pomade and it's pretty good. I have the normal Murray's build up in my hair also, so I guess that's helping me like the super light version a bit more.
Royal Crown for me was extremely hard to wash out for me in the shower. Hated the feeling of it in my hair and hands. Not to mention, the scent for me, smelled like Female black people. Used it once, and threw that crap out... Just not for me.
Cameron has the best style, best knowledge, and best results of all the pomp guys on RUclips
BigRedChester and He is the kindest person ever.
Joseph Avo
Nice video man. I heard Johnny Cash used Royal Crown which adds to the coolness factor. I might have to pick some of this up.
Same with Elvis Presley. He also used Black & White.
Ryan Bales proof?
John Chabot proof?
83rdox get reuzel pink and green it’s they are very good pomades and Cameron has a review on them if you want some more info
Hi, what is the difference between Royal Crown Hairdressing and Pomade?
Hi Cameron! Great reviews, keep it going. Quick question what is better for a slick look with alot of shine that will last all day? The RC pomade or hairdressing
Always go for the pomade. It's better in ever aspect
Hey Cam, thanks again for the pomade advice in your most recent video! I tried the Royal Crown Pomade based on this video and I love it as well! Keep up the good work! We all dig what your doing man.
I love your channel man but I have a question for you is the pomade hard to wash out
Cam - I use Murray's only. Do you like Royal Crown better than Black and White or Murray's?
When I first started watching this I thought you had no idea what you were doing, but by the end it looked great. I may try this stuff after all.
Hey you mentioned the scent I told you! :D Great review my friend, keep it up! :)
-Tim
Thanks Man!!!
Glad to I could help. Enjoy!
camerona145 It's awesome man. Really like it.
I just bought some Royal Crown pomade, the label says pomade but it has still the silver tin. Idk, if they have changed it or what.
FullSpektrum. If the container says "pomade" then that is what it is. The hair dressing will say "hair dressing" on the container. They seem to alternate between silver and red lids on the pomade now.

That guy F****** loves his Royal Crown pomade Got dam!!!!
do you know how its possible to do an executive contour with thick/wavy hair? It always seem to fall out of place for after a few hours
I just bought this pomade I'll be gettin it around next week. Your review really helped me to get it. Check out my How to ask a Barber for a haircut video. I talk all about it ruclips.net/video/dmCDH6yA5t8/видео.html
Thanks! That really helped out! By the way, I've never used a petroleum based pomade before, I've been using water based. Does Royal Crown, or petroleum based pomades in general, stay pretty strong throughout the day?
Yes definitely, oil based pomades don't harden up, give great shine, and don't wash out. Pick some up :)
Is it really hard to wash out oil based pomade? That is the only part that makes me skeptical about oil based. And the whole acne thing haha
Not hard to wash out an oil based pomade, but it is a learning curve. If you normally wash your hair they will be out in 3-5 days, if you de-grease, you can get them out on the spot. Normally I use the DAX blue pot because it is not too hard and makes my styling my hair but now I use the Royal Crown and I'm rather satisfied
"I dont know what it is, but it just works for me". It tells you what it is on the side of the can. Ingredients: petrolatum, olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, fragrance.
Been using this pomade since college. Love it.

I've seen it at Kroger but not Wal-Mart or Rite Aid.
+Joseph Wheeler whats up wheeler hahahha
Cameron would you say its as thick as murrays pomade
@Ali Malik oh
@Ali Malik thanks
Hey Cam the royal pomade company also manufacturers the POMADE IN THE SILVER TIN as well
Yup o have silver tin well the top of it us silver
Just got mine in the mail, smells good and can't wait to use it today. Still need to grow my hair out longer. Great video tho
John Cooper Thank you :)
I honestly have to admit, Cameron A., I believe that Murray's Superior Hairdressing Pomade has the best smell than any-other oil based pomade.
Cameron A., when will you make more videos? Many of your videos are over a year old.
Cam can you please do the hair dress I just don't know if I should buy it or not
+Anti Everything its smells quite nice
how do you take it off of your hair? and you use it just one day, or you use it for 2 or maybe 3 days and then wash it away?
I hardly ever de-grease, and this pomade is light, so you can build up with it for however long you want, and then use a water based pomade the following day and it should be out :)
cool! i think im gonna start using this as a plus, the thing is that i use dr rubin's pomade... it has an excellent hold, but it doesnt have a real big shine, because the wax base, and i want to combine it with this one because this has a biiiiig shine, thank you man, great review
Groom and clean will get it out
My. Royal crown I just got says pomade on it not hair dressing but the cap of the tin is silver. Does this mean it’s the hair dressing ?
It's wreck it Ralph... You're talented
Does it make your hair heavy ?!?
Hey @CameronA I need a super strong pomade that will definitely withstand heat, sweat & that will dominate my super straight, asian like hair. Any recommendations?
a million thanks!
Have you tried Lockharts Goon Grease or Reuzel pink, those work well. P.S you can look up the Pomps RUclips channel, the main guy fits your description.
Is this good for curly hair?
Does the pomade harden like suavecito or can you still comb through it, through the day?
sharkyboy99 Suavecito is an orthodox water based pomade, so basically gel. This is an oil based pomade. Every oil based pomade does not harden and dry up.
camerona145 cool thanks :-)
Is the shine of RC Pomade higher than Murray's Super Light?
Rockabilly Asian about the same
Cameron A Alright, great! And what about the hold and texture/consistency compared to Murray's Light?
Hello what are the ingrediens of the royal crown pomade. I know that the hair dressing has only petrolatum olive oil and parfüm. But i need the ingrediens of the (pomade) of royal crown ? Thanks
I get a motor oil greese scent in crown. I like this greesy pomade. Greese. I use the silver tin for ref
question, i've been having a problem with one side of my hair flopping downwards after a couple of hours after using this stuff. It works great up until it starts to fall, any tips?
Country Covers Plus use a bit more maybe?
does it have better hold when you put it in dry hair?
Can you do please a review about Murray's Pomade?
It doesn't work for me i have complicated hair to stylize a pomp. The hold is not that firm. But the shining its pretty cool. I had to mix it in with a little Murray's in order to have a cool style and works out just fine. My respect for your review on royal crown.
Does it wash out?
you should do a review on voodoo brew 2 pomade
A brush and like two different combs? I don't know much about styling hair is there a reason for that?
he uses the brush to slick it back and the combs to even out the pomade in his hair
Elvis Presley use to use black an white pomad for his hair! And lots of other celebrity's use it is well .
Does this leave your hair stiff
Like are y able to love it around still after an hour
Just a heads up to anyone who wants this stuff without having to order it online. They sell it at Giant Eagle. Not sure how many states have Giant Eagles, but in my area, they are about every other block

@@TonyJumpkins ohh it's seems clear now
whats the difference between this one and the silver top?
royal crown with the silver top is the hair dressing.
+MexiMamba408 what does that mean exactly? I'm new to this stuff so I'd like to know what's the difference from the hair dressing one and the red tin
+Bryan Vega nowadays if you order them they will both come in a silver tin, one of them says pomade and the one that says pomade has more hold and a better scent.
How difficult is it to degrease this pomade?
not hard like two washes
What is the name of the haircut not hairstyle
how well does it wash out?
+Arijeet Das it will take about 2 to 3 washes to take it completely out, but I just put a water based in after 3 days of it building up in my hair and then it eventually it is gone.
Will royal crown make you lose hAir
mikey B fresh nope. No pomade will
camerona145 hi do i need to have my hair damp or dry to use this? thanks

Have ya tried mediums or firms? It sounds like lights and heavies aren't the most optimal for your hair.
