- In a leaked developer Q&A session that has yet to be released, Nikita talked to someone internally regarding the forward-facing plans of Tarkov. The interviewer asked Nikita about several issues the community had with what was going on recently, and his answers were nothing short of what I can only describe as "tone deaf as h*ll" and said "Everything is going according to plan".

With how they want all maps to be connected bringing buddies in might not even be that crazy. If it was in game now? Sure. But in two wipes when there might be other ways to enter a in progress raid also? Who knows. Same for the radio, yes its in now, but pmc karma might have a similar feature. It's just like how gamma was bis but then kappa came along and a in game option was better

Incase you didn't know, you can go to your EFT profile and click the mail icon next to your purchased package. The receipt sent to your email still claims "Free access to all subsequent DLCs (Season pass)" for EOD owners. They forgot to change it on the Email receipts. Get your screenshots ready everyone!

Remember Battlestate Games and Nikita were making F2P monetised game before. It's nothing new for them. Also, "true believers": the new edition literally is a "become a cultist" edition. Nikita thinks this is a cult, not a customer-seller relationship.

tbh I think the most hardcore tarkov fans have been lost in the sourse for the last year or 2. There have been tons of little warning sighs things were going to get really bad at some point it's just they didn't want to see it, and the casual players never cared enough to notice

Yeah bullshit. FANS were able to get both a PvE mode and a Coop mode working with no help from BSG, but I'm supposed to believe the actual devs cannot? Absolute horse shit. And they call this "being honest", what a fucking joke.
Coop? As far as I am aware, there is no coop in SPT, as SPT is completely offline. Being completely offline also makes it way easier to create all the features SPT has at the speed they can, as they don't have to deal with the netcode.
@@KiddBuu_there are 2 coop mods currently and someone made a whole private server before but it got abandoned.
@@KiddBuu_ another group found a way to hook multiple players up to one "singleplayer-process" no idea who how what, but I can imagine it being easier than modding on online game into offline so I believe that someone did it.

@@KiddBuu_ Like the guy above me said, also its probably not hard to make a coop mode for tarkov since the network infrastructure is already there. People made coop mods for games like Skyrim so its not suprising.

The PVE mode should be a Peer to Peer thing, with a phone home system in place so people keep their progress. That way it will be of very little cost for BSG if that is truly the concern.
well track record says they haven't even thought about it and, if they did, don't have the skills or the care to implement it. :/
BSG got no game working 100% so far. Trusting them to pull off a stable peer to peer Tarkov is probably wishful thinking
What’s wild is that someone was able to reverse engineer SPT and be able to run a working eft disconnected from bsg servers. I’m not well versed in the backend in video games, but I have a good feeling that it’s pretty unnecessary to have a dedicated server for a max group of five play against ai. What makes a Peer to peer with a transfer of all the raid data sent at the end so hard
That requires BSG to know how to code p2p into their game and we all know how good BSG are at coding....
SPT just runs the server locally, they should do that and *then* have it phone home at end of raid or in intervals to lower traffic

They're gonna sell you the call in friends item and then RMT sites will start offering mid raid carry calls, they'll ban both the cheater that gets called in and the guy who called him and suddenly there is 2 more account purchases lined up and an additional purchase of a call in a friend item.
All they care about is money. Thats why the discourse around cheating has always been that BSG knows about cheating, and perhaps doesn't mind it (becasue they profit from cheaters buying new accounts). They have never cared about anything but money. 150.00 for a game is already ridiculous but we all paid it. This is a total spit in the face and NOT ONE PERSON SHOULD FORGIVE THEM for this treatment.
cheating = profit. If this doesn't wake people up nothing will. It should all make sense now.

That shit isn't even going to work out. It's a loud device that everyone will hear, so it's not like they're sneaking in. It basically just amounts to one extra player in raid. I don't think it's gonna change as much as people are worried about.

To be honest i am proud with most of the Tarkov creators who have chose to distance themselves from an obviously corrupt BM, i am disappointed that some have decided to jump on the band wagon and feed into this by purchasing this bundle, thank you for covering this even with your voice the way it is.

@@2fat4airborne44 The thing is, most of their income comes from banning cheaters (which they only do when one kills a streamer). Once the game is 90% cheaters and there are no regular players left to offer carries for, the cheaters will leave. No cheaters means no income, which is probably why they're pushing this p2w bullshit currently. Most of the people leaving would have probably left over the cheating epidemic anyway, and some people will buy the 250$ edition and then leave after anyway when they offer the next 500$ edition that gives you a forcefield for the first 10 minutes of raid or something.

How hard is it to download the mod? Like WoW style mod download?
@kaganatorplays9205 if you use the installer you just make a copy of your EFT folder, download the installer into the copy, run it, and it'll do the rest. Run the server file, let it launch, and then run the launcher file. Easy as that. Modding beyond that is where it can get tricky.

This confirms what I was thinking and why I uninstalled early. My friend who I bought EOD was going to buy me Unhinged, it would have cost me nothing, and I told him no im out. Because I knew this was not a mistake, miscommunication, or error. This was a choice. In my opinion, at risk of sounding a bit naive and excitable, an Evil decision. I had said I would return if they rolled it back AND apologized. This now confirms for me I will never come back no matter what. There is too many other good games right now to waste any more time energy or money on this company. RIP Tarkov.

I highly suggest that everyone consider NOT PLAYING THE GAME AT ALL.
I know they already have our cash.
But it will send a message if the concurrent players drop tremendously. The more people they see playing the more confident they feel that a base percentage will end up purchasing micro-transactions or this new edition we don't approve of. Go play a million of the other games we all have or want. Remember THEY made this choice, this is really the only recourse we have.
If we don't step away, they will continue what they're doing. Its basically approving of their actions.
Time for the gaming community to grow our backbone, you can bet your ass the rest of the development community is paying attention to what happens here.. And you can bet your ass if we just let them get away with it, we will see the same actions in other development projects.

Do you know how long it takes to load into a raid? Like you’re actually going to survive while waiting for your buddies. From what we know too it makes a noise so they’ll know too. This won’t effect pvp much but will effect boss farming a ton

I think it was the former lead at DICE that tried the "dont like it, then dont buy it" strategy for BF5, and yeah..... that didnt work out too well.
