Damn, never expected to see Streetlight on this channel! These guys have been my favorite band since 2005. I'm lucky to live in NY, so I always get to see their hometown shows in NJ. I've seen them close to 30 times between NY/NJ and they're absolutely amazing. Just saw them in Sayreville, NJ this past Saturday for their annual end of the year hometown show. As you can see, they don't disappoint live. They bring great vibes and energy, and accompany that with an incredibly tight, fast-paced performance. I'm so glad you guys checked them out. I have no specific recommendations for you guys by them, literally every song by them is incredible.Just hope you guys do more by them at some point!
I feel like I've requested these guys a few times, but I'm not one of those people who makes the same comment every video ha. Streetlight's main songwriter (TohKay) has several interesting projects. His band before S.M. was Catch 22. He has another group called BOTAR (bandits of the acoustic revolution). One of Streetlight's albums is covers. They do a great Bad Religion cover (skyscraper) and a great NOFX cover (linoleum). There's a lot to dive into with them. I think tohkay is one of the best storytellers in music today. Every song is an epic tale that could be a movie or a book. A slice of life in every song. It all feels very sincere and heartfelt. Such a great dude, and such a great band backing him up
Glad to share the beautiful chaos that is Streetlight Manifesto. They are New Jersey natives. They put on one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. High energy extremely talented musicians playing masterfully at such a fast pace is just a sight to behold. Smokey actually unironically nailed his summary of the first verse. Glad you guys enjoyed it and thanks again!
I was just thinking a bit ago about not too many reactors react to streetlight then I turn you tube on and my wish got granted, hell yeah trash talkers!!! This is only the beginning........
I love the ska-punk bands and tunes. Takes me back to the 80s, especially late 80s. Merriest of Christmases, Happiest of New Years to you and yours. Deuces!! ✌🏼😁🎶❤️🎶❤️🎄🥃✨️🕊
This type of music has a long history. I would love to see you explore this genre more. I predict though that this video will not "do well" in terms of viewership. The creators of this band were turned down by every major label. so if UMG controls RUclips, this music type isn't welcome. I feel like only the smaller channels like @TheHanierFamily have given ska music air-time Ska, though its 3rd wave was popular in the early 90's, was very unpopular for the past 20 or so years. people like me were bullied and harassed for listening to this music; so it's popularity catastrophically dropped off. finally, though Ska music dates back to some of the earliest recordings of caribbean music it is often confused with reggae. There are enthusiast here on youtube but this wont replace Eminem on your top viewed video lists.
Please do more streetlight, or catch22, or bandits of the acoustic revolution. ( all the same guy) the music is serious topics wrapped in a bright shiny package
So many people I went to high school with were so into Streetlight Manifesto. I was just never the biggest ska fan. I feel like I'm listening to a Tony Hawk's Pro Skater soundtrack or watching a commercial for pizza rolls hahhaa. I don't remember them having so many horns before but I could just be a little foggy on that
To me, its a beautiful song about grappling with society. There is despair and solidarity, as life is. There is conflict with the world we live in, a world we must confront. Great video.
Gotta do some Supervillains, Slightly Stoopid, Pepper and Stick Figure also now. It's only fitting if you're going to react to more Streetlight Manifesto.
Goddamned fantastic!!! His voice it way too nasally though. A great singer still, but not a great vocalist as everything in their library sounds the same. I just love horns and Ska.
The singer, Tomas Kalnoky is Czech/American, but yeah, Streetlight is a northeast band. New Jersey. Best skacore band in 3d wave ska. MC Lars is 2000s Cali nerdcore. Dude’s a Stanford grad who raps about nerd sht, literature & pop culture. This Gigantic Robot Kills & Download This Song are good.
Streetlight Manifesto???? What God did I please?!?!?! Excellent rabbit hole!
💯

Lol, I should have known Rin had something to do with this. 😂😂😂
Ryan is all over reaction channels and Patreons spreading the word of this awesome ass band. A true legend.
I'm always noticing friends from the Knightscast channel in other reaction channels.

Oh man if you guys are gonna do streetlight you gotta do the combo of “a moment of silence” and a “a moment of violence”
Well if these guys are on the table now, I gotta recommend…hmm…The Three of Us. You gotta hear their studio stuff now. It’s immaculate.

"Ok, guys. We're playing live, kick the tempo up 15%" 😅. Try the video for Would You Be Impressed?, it's pretty wild 🦁🐧🐘
"If this ship sinks, we're all going down." Y'all have no idea. Watch the official video sometime.
We're going into the world of ska welcome
