  • Over the years, I have captured a few videos during the cold, very cold times in our city of residing - Saskatoon in the province of Saskatchewan in Canada. This video is about love and hate relationship with Saskatchewan winters in central Canada.
    Living in the outskirts of Saskatoon in the woods but with all of the amenities of city life makes winter a bit more interesting and challenging. Therefore, I have a love-hate relationship with this very Canadian winter. BUT honestly, I love it.
    Like, when my pickup truck slid off the main road and into a snowy ditch. I admit I did that purposefully thinking the truck would manage to come out of the ditch. It did not. Or, when the road doesn’t get plowed or salted and I am struggling to keep my car on the road, or like some time ago when I came home after a few days just to find so much snow in my driveway that it was impossible to get my car in. That was my fault too. I knew that would happen and I did not pay the guy to clean it before I arrived.
    And I love snow and winters. Wondering why would I admit that? Because I do not have a choice. So! I learned to love the snow and cold.
    When it is not windy and the Sun comes out and I can take my dog 'Muck Hun' for playing in the snow, those are the times that I love winter and I don’t even mind the minus temperatures.

      Thank you, Taj Shuba, for your comment. Somedays, I do host radio shows in Canada in Hindi. The app is called CFCR 90.5 FM Saskatoon Community Radio. That is just another hobby, like making these RUclips videos. We are a small community and get to use our time once a week, every week.
      Every Saturday at 10:30 pm India time for 90 minutes program, someone would do that program. I am not assigned any on-air time for now.
      Whenever I do it again if you want to sing a song in your voice and send it to me, I can play it on the radio from Saskatoon, Canada, and your family and friends can hear your voice on the air. They will have to download the app.

      Hello, Ms. Rahmath | Saskatchewan is heaven on the face of the Earth. Though a little colder than other places in Canada, the whole One million-plus people of Saskatchewan love each other.
      But, then no one said a heaven is a warm place.

      Hello, Fauzia ji. The first snow usually comes in late October or early November. Because the temperature from October onwards stays at sub-zero, once the snow is on the ground, it stays. The melting starts in March sometimes and makes a lot of mess. I would do what you have suggested. That is a good idea to educate newcomers on how to deal with cold days.

      I am not an immigration agent and have no clue about the programs. I have lived in Saskatchewan for about 14 years and love this place. Other places, unless I live there, I would not know good or bad about them. But, Saskatchewan is way too friendly and good life is the best part.

    Bro, is Regina or Saskatoon colder?

    • @SudhirBaujee
      @SudhirBaujee  Месяц назад

      After MINUS 30 degrees C..!
      It does not matter which is colder. In fact after 0°, it does not matter which is colder because, dressing appropriately is the key. In last 20 years, I have never heard anybody dying because they froze.

    Hi Sudhirji...how's the job opportunity for new PR Immigrant from India??

    • @SudhirBaujee
      @SudhirBaujee  4 года назад +3

      Who would not like a good worker; I suggest all the newcomers take up any job that is available on the market. Once we get a job, the self-esteem rides high. The money starts coming in. A comfort zone is achieved. With the remaining time left in hand, keep looking for other, better jobs. At the first opportunity, grab the job we wait for. AND life starts. I wish you all the best. Life is difficult when we move from one place to another within our own country. Here we leave a country to merge into a new one that is very different from our lifestyle. Good luck.
