Thank you Tamron, for having the Pryor Family on. In 1978 I got the chance to meet Mr. Pryor at the Comedy Store on Sunset, he was so kind to me. He has always been one of my favorite people 🙏🏾👵🏽💜
He was is so many great roles in iconic movies Brewster's Millions The Toy Silver Streak See no Evil The Mac Carwash Uptown Saturday Night Moving Harlem Nights That's just off the top of my head.. glad to see him celebrated
Of course, they look like Richard pryor. They're related. It's not out of the realm of possibility that they'd look like him. Who should they resemble Prince?
Well, be that as it may. It's not rocket science. They're gonna look like whoever there folks are. I can see if they were the neighbors' kids and look like Pryor. Now there's a story to talk about at the dinner table. @sullivancountydays
@@sullivancountydays You could have kept that comment to yourself, as to saying someone ugly, you're self is ugly. If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything.
I went to see Rain perform in 2019. She blew everyone away, she is a fabulous actress!! So happy to see she is continue to create with her very talented family.
Richard Pryor actually came to my house when I was 10 in 1977. (The guy who produced some of his comedy albums was an old family friend and just showed up with him one day). My brother,12, and I knew exactly who he was, but my 7 year old cousin didn't. We weren't allowed to stay in the room with him because, although soft-spoken, RP would NOT stop cursing 😆. We got our little cousin to get an album signed for us and we were all allowed to come out to say goodbye. As he was leaving, RP called us three of the ugliest kids he'd ever seen. My brother and I knew he was just messing with us (knowing he was a comedian), but I don't know how my cousin took that 😳). Fifteen years later, I got my revenge. That same family friend invited me to RP's birthday party (at RP's house), and I kept a straight face as I told him that his comment had scarred me, wrecked my confidence, and had driven me to therapy because he was the first celebrity I'd ever met. He was SO SORRY 🥺. He held both my hands in his and apologized profusely, sincerely explaining that he's a comedian (like everyone on earth didn't know that 😂). Finally, I fell out laughing, I told him that I was just yanking his chain, and we giggled together. That was some night. The guest list for that party was... whew!
Cool! That would have blown my mind as a kid! Being shy, I'm pretty sure I would have hid until he left. As a teen, I did get to see Redd Foxx entertain the troops overseas. RP is the "gold standard" for comedians because it was also biting social commentary--you were going to laugh, but when you got done you were seriously thinking about what he said.
@mariegraves6102 I think I'm just not wired up to be starstruck. But I did chicken out on attempting to meet the Jacksons when I was about 8. That SAME family friend lived around the corner from their house in Encino, and his kids offered to take us over there (they knew the Jackson kids; not many black people in that neighborhood lol). My brother and I couldn't muster up the nerve though. For all I know, they weren't even in town, but I kicked myself for years for being too shy to even try. EDIT: Believe me or don't (I couldn't care less), but I actually got to meet MJ (and spend 5 days at Neverland) in 2002. Chris Tucker and I became friends before he was famous and we called ourselves "working" there; we accomplished next to nothing lol. Obviously, that got me over kicking myself for not going to the Hayvenhurst estate when I was 8 lol.
My condolences go out to Richard Pryor family man he's the number one fan I swear he's make you laugh crying and everything else and he is so wonderful he played movies and everything and he is the sweetest person in the world God bless 🙏🙏🙏❤❤😊😊
Richard Pryor Jr. is my cousin and we grew up together in Peoria IL. I've also had the chance to meet his sister Rain Pryor. I'm so glad to see them both honor their legendary father in this way!!! ❤

This was certainly good to know. I enjoyed hearing them speak of how great their father was. Also, for some reason, I think Tamron's hairstyle brings out her face and eyes. So pretty.

I had the pleasure of meeting and hanging out with them a few months ago. I did the same thing. I stared at them and said wow; you both look just like your dad. lol. Beautiful people inside and out
Wow it's so good to see this. I have an interesting story about Richard Pryor Jr. When I was a little boy, I would go down to Va. to spend time with my grandmother and grandfather and at the time my grandmother worked in the cafeteria at the nearby Naval shipyard. It was common for people to visit there home for Sunday dinner, so it wasn't unusual to welcome a new face to the table. One evening she said that a friend would be joining us, a young man who was stationed far from home his name was Richard. To cut to the chase this young man turned out to be the son of the greatest comedian ever Richard Pryor! He was such a nice guy he was so down to earth he never played up the fact that his dad was one of the world's most popular entertainers of the time. He joined us for dinner a few times. Throughout the years I've been blessed with the opportunity to meet a few celebrities and politicians due to proximity, but this particular experience always holds a special place. Good to see this. Thank you both for sharing. Way to go Tamron.
I was an extra in the movie& had ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA I was talking & laughing with Richard Pryor's daughter!!!💜💜💜 She was very pretty& laid back super polite
This is so amazing and a breath of fresh air! Thank you!... We just had a group of Neo-Nazis parading up and down North High St in Columbus, Ohio during Saturday's football game! 😢... One comment said only the son looks like Richard, but looking past Rain's light skin and seeing her if she had darker skin the features will pop right out, because in my eyes Rain looks so much like her dad too,..especially when she was a teenager wow! she was his twin☺️☺️
My mom went to high school with this beautiful lady and I was looking through her old yearbook and she said that the lady was one of Richard Pryor’s illegitimate children. I believe her too because she favors Rain. She was a tall, slender lady, with a beautiful Afro, very feminine.same head shaped as this lady just a smaller face at the bottom, and if they are from Peoria, IL that makes sense because this lady went to high school in STL.
I will go pay money to see this. As someone who was born in the mid 70s. Richard Pryor made several movies that could be redid. Including the ones he did with Gene Wilder! ❤
Yes he is the #1 of comedian of all time. But I need to see this entire list because Chris Rock being higher than Dave Chapelle and Eddie Murphy is wild. Kevin Hart making the list is wilder lol
That crazy Richard Pryor Bernie Mac Martin, Lawrence people like that they are funny, but Richard is still number one he is still the king. The man was super funny. You know who else will go along with him with Richard will be miss Pat. They would kill her audience, they would break us down everybody peeing in here, cause they are super funny.
