I'm sure his family wasn't too happy hearing about the event but were none-the-less thankful it turned out ok. That said this proves there is no such thing as bad drivers. Only lazy ones. If an 8 year old can drive "flawlessly" then any one can too.
+Skyler Jr Yes, anyone can drive "flawlessly," but some people choose not to because they choose to make dumb decisions. For example: those who choose to text and drive which is illegal in 47 states in the U.S. Texas actually used to have a partial ban, but now it's a full ban meaning no driver can text & drive. The states that have a partial ban (which is most likely age restriction) is Arizona and Missouri. And there is no ban for the state Montana (honestly, I'm not sure if that state has any phone laws put in place). I know esp. in the state of CA that not only is it illegal to text & drive, it's also illegal to physically hold your phone up to your ear and talk on it. And there's also the fact of speeders dry or wet due to rain because some people do not know how to drive in the rain at all.
I think everyone's forgetting the other part of the story. He learned to drive watching a YT video! Good thing he didn't learn how to drive watching the Fast and the Furious. 😂

Crazy how full grown adults sometimes drive like maniacs and an 8 year old kid was able to drive safely to McDonald's almost without getting noticed. This is definitely something him and his family will never forget 😂
Because an 8 year olds brain is at the point where all it wants is information, and is able to somewhat but the information to use, and he had easy access to the information he needed
well once when I was heading from my school, me and my brother got impatient and I knew the way home but he insisted that we took this other way and then we got lost, a man on the streets helped us by knocking on the door of different houses AND SUM FAMILIES TRIED TO FOOL THE MAN AND TAKE US IN well we werent stupid thank god and at last I saw a yellow gate which was our gate to our house (this was in africa btw) and we ran full of joy damn
The fact that all he wanted was a meal with his sister is honestly kinda heartwarming, I feel like most 8 year old wouldn't even comprehend operating a car, let alone use it lawfully. I really hope this is a learning experience for the kid, and the nurture his personality. He had pure intentions.

@@southtexascars5389 Yeah, but he's just a kid. He obeyed everything...whereas most kids his age wouldn't if they chose to drive. Once the cop did show up, it was mentioned in this video that the kid realized he could be in trouble. Honestly, if he was able to get his license at age 16 or 17, he'd probably be a much better driver than most teens and adults now.
This kid is extremely intelligent. How did the kid even know to understand basic instructions of driving ? I don't think I was even interested in the pedals until I was 11.
When I was his age I was driving to. I grew up in the country so my whole life I watched my parents drive and I paid very close attention to how it was done. When I asked my dad if I could drive his truck home (on back roads in the country) he said if I could get in and start the car and turn it around without help I could drive home. He didn't expect I could do it. I hopped in and did a 180° burnout. I was 9 got to drive home but was only a mile away.
And I'm 28, no permit nor license, 2 times driving lessons at 16 yet still don't know how to drive...much props to this kid 🤯. On a real note: Parents please lock your cars and keep all keys relating to anything that can be unlocked away from children as you never know what they can do.

That is one brave boy willing to do what he can for his sister
Skyler Jr nah b chill if I put my 2 year old cousin on the wheel that would be another story
Skyler Jr ok lemme let my dog drive real quick

The fact he was able to reach the wheel use the pedals and be able to see the lights in a minivan is so impressive.
