Nice clear explanation on the trading platforms. (Anyone wondering what the term 'pip' means - its variably known as 'Point In Percentage', 'Percentage in Point(s)', 'Price Interest Point(s)' representing 1/100th of a cent in dollars/pounds to 4 decimal places, and to 2 decimal places for yen .)
Pips are at currency pairs. For instance USD/GBP one CFD contract - one pip $10,- (or $9) while points are at commodities for instance Gold one CFD contract - one point $100,-.
hi sanjay here i saw your vedio , u say the movement is point in fx pairs, i would like to know what is pips , as i am new to this . i am from india thank you
In all examples that is shown pips or point is simply the fifth number from the left regardless of the desimals is this just by considece or is it how it works? I't would have a great impact when anything is going from 9 to 10 so I guess no, but I'm still asking.
Regardless of what small timeframe you use, you always need to check the tendencies at larger and larger time frames. While the market can do whatever it wants at all times, one can be lucky with knowing impending tendency-moves on small time frames caused by larger time frames. Larger time frames have more power and stability. The smaller it gets, the more chaotic, fleeting.
Am I going bonkers? A EUR/USD change of one pip from 1.3000 to 1.3001would be about $9/pip with 100K buying power. So if it changed to 1.3010 in a trade that would be a profit of about $90?
In all my ignorance in trading, I understood a pip is when your heart goes bonkers when you start losing bigtime and the market makes the point when they have your money/savings.....? I suspect there will thus be many pips in the artificial bitcoin market?
I have recently started trading. I feel as though I’m getting the hang of it. But pips/lot size are starting to confuse me. For example let’s say I have an account size of £350. I risk 3% of my account in a trade which is £10.50. That would make it a lot size of 0.03 lots which is 3000 units. Let’s say I’m buying GBP USD and my entry was 1.30870, my stop loss is 1.30700 and my target price is 1.32500. How much profit/loss would I be making per pip movement? What’s the formula to working it out? Also does that mean that the maximum/minimum I can make on a trade is £10.50? PLEASE CAN SOMEONE BREAK IT DOWN FOR ME. It would be much appreciated.
Hi Mate . Did anyone answer your question ? Have you worked it out yet, I’m at this point now where I’m trading but need a simply breakdown of working out the pip movement
Hey Jaq, we have our own proprietary web and mobile apps. You may want to take a look: Web app - www.trading212.com iOS app - itunes.apple.com/gb/app/trading-212/id566325832?mt=8 Android app - play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.avuscapital.trading212&hl=en-uk
If you're new to trading, you might well wonder if it's really possible to make a living from currency trading, given that the overwhelming majority of small traders do not.
Dinesh Prabhu I believed No. He explained points but not pips? Im waiting for pips but what he more explained is points. And I believed 10 points is 1 pip, correct me if im wrong, but I hope he explain if pip and points are the same or different? Hehehe
This don't seem right to me he is talking like pips and points are the same thing they are not. He is talking about pips 1 pip 4th decimal place. 5th decimal place is points. So 1 pip = 10 points. points and pips are not the same
I am very confused now. When i google pip or point i get different answers. One says a point is the largest number on the left of the decimal. In this video it says a pip or point are the same, and others say a pip is the 4th number and a point is the 5th number . So what is it?? www.invest-az.com/what-is-pip-point This says a point is the 5th number. Or 1/10 of a pip. www.investopedia.com/ask/answers/032615/what-difference-between-pips-points-and-ticks.asp . This says a point is on the left of the decimal. I know now what a PIP is, but you talk about points. So, what are you talking about exactly? I love your video's by the way. I should have said that first.... ;-)

Can you do a video on intra day trading. Which time frame to be used on candle stick chart
Video about time frames coming in the next couple of months.

What platform do you use, and where do the charts come from - it is not trading view right?

Is it really a 4 movement or 3 movement?

Does T212 use the MT4 platform? Or does it have its own?

thanks sir
why don't you say significant figure instead of dp because its always the 5th sf?
thanks
Pips are simply the 5th sig fig. Yes?
I think if the USD/JPY dropped below three figures, say 99.99, then it would be the 4th sf in that case, so not necessarily the 5th sf

Whats the number colour background?
Is it possible to make the value of 1 pip=1,000,000 euro per say?
maybe if you had £10000 and leverage 300 but that is supid.
Thank you for your video
Pip and point both mean the same?
Dinesh Prabhu I believed No. He explained points but not pips? Im waiting for pips but what he more explained is points. And I believed 10 points is 1 pip, correct me if im wrong, but I hope he explain if pip and points are the same or different? Hehehe
Donovan Miller 2 is the pip, 3 is the fractional
What about xau xag btc eth?
Are points and pips the same?
Pip is the last decimal place of a currency's exchange rate. Point is typically used for measuring the change in the price of stocks.
brill!
There are always five numbers and the last number is a pip
How did he get that 74%?
How do you get 0.74% in 3:46
This don't seem right to me he is talking like pips and points are the same thing they are not. He is talking about pips 1 pip 4th decimal place. 5th decimal place is points. So 1 pip = 10 points. points and pips are not the same
Can I make consistent profits from trading forex?
Yes you can
So what is a pip compared to a point...no explanation...

Hi, I've always referred to as pip or a point as the 4th number to the right of the decimal in e.g. GBPUSD. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Well who would except that... It went less than 1 :)))
So a pip is a point
pips
1pip=1%?????????
great study !thank you !hope to learn more.
