I'm a casual skyrim player and what the actual heck is this!? I came here for speculation as to what happened to Saadia or how the dark brotherhood came to be! How can the lore be so deep??!
Ngl I stopped watching the pods when they started the 36 lessons. I used to love these and I’m about to start my second modded Morrowind play through ever this weekend. I think I know what the background podcast is gonna be.
They definitely didn't have it in mind at the time of writing, but 18-1 now also nicely maps with the current state of the Daedric princes. All the currently known Daedric Princes minus the Forgotten Prince (Ithelia). Ithelia is also known as the Fate-Changer and it is said that Prisoners exist by her will... If we also consider that 18 = Vivec (who wishes to be all things and thus all princes) and mix these two schools of thought could we get something like 18-1 = Vivec minus the fate-changer (aka Vivec minus the ability to alter their own fate)? Could this in the lense of modern lore perhaps be a commentary on Vivec lacking the radical freedom he desires (that is being a Prisoner)? I'm probably over thinking it and conflating a lot of things but it is fun to think about.
@@nehemiahsomers4141 That does have a nice symmetry to it, which I appreciate when dealing with numerology. Also, after a bit of thought, I wonder whether you could shoehorn in an Enantiomorph with the three Missing Aedra/Daedra just to complete the internal numerology going on.
2:11:00 A prison shirt is not a straight jacket it is an identifier. Everyone in the prison is identical and if a prisoner escapes the prison and are seen wearing the prison shirt then people are to call the police. Not a physical restraint. A social restrainy. The prisoner is not where he belongs. He belongs in the tower. Identify him with his number the number 35.
My thoughts on the 10 tribes of the Altmer, is that they are actually the playable races. Yes including the humans and beast races. My thought is that Morrowind was the game where they upped the number to 10 for the first time. Vivec also calls Dreugh the "Altmer of the Sea" which we know they are not. In that case, I think Vivec may be using Altmer as a synonym for Aldmer/Ehlnofey. Its addressing that in some beliefs, all races came from the same place, but are distinct "tribes". I also like it because then its an enantamorph x 5 corners of the world, which feels very comprehensive as a population.

Alternatively: 8 Aedra + 1 Missing, 16 Daedra + 2 Missing

1:55:00 Lorkhan is a walking way- the way that walks back to the begining. You cannot save yourself but you can give everyone a chance.
Harald Hand-Free being the focus of 14: the King's Cough, makes sense because he's the 13th *DESCENDANT* of Ysgrammor. 13 + Ysgrammor = 14
22:11 The sharmat divides peoples and in a way that does not cut them into better shapes

why do you all have glasses and the same beard
No idea about the glasses but pretty sure having a lorebeard is basically a necessity to BE a lorebeard.
