      So Alexander, why does russia take territory in Ukraine? Is it a PR stunt? Is it a political move? Is it to massage Putins ego? How does taking territory in Ukraine stop NATO expansion? It has led to 2 new nations into NATO. So far, Ukraine does not seem to have lost that many troops and can russia afford just having young conscripts guarding russian border or do they need to put more experienced troops there? If so, their offensive in other areas will be slowed down which will benefit Ukraine. If you dont understand simple things like that, maybe you should talk about other things. Why not kidnappings by senior judges in the UK legal system 😅

      I have the feeling that the Ukrainians are desperate as they can be. Putin warned every nation that a incursion into Russia would be (will be) a reason for the usage of tactical nuclear weapons. The West said that they will unleash their nuclear arsenal if Russia even drops a small tactical nuclear weapon on Ukraine soil, even if no one lives at the place of the attack. Ukraine will anything at this point to bring NATO Boots on Ukrainian soil.

      Why are people claiming an offensive that's still making rapid progress as a failure? People like you were claiming it's been stopped every minute since this started and you've been completely wrong. I'm pro Russia but it's clear all western support and all good recruitment all year has gone towards this plan. Its a big mistake to consider this Ukraine the same one we have seen in the east this year

    • @arostwocents
      @arostwocents Месяц назад +1

      It took six months to clear Krynky, with supply having to cross a giant river and totally pinned in, with numerous assaults failing disastrously per video evidence. Thinking Russia will clear this easily I hope is correct but I would suggest this is likely to take a long, long time to clear. This much land in the east would take a vast amount of time to clear. Despite those in the east being overwhelmingly weaker than those in the North.
      I'm truly stunned Alexander is ignorant enough to compare this to Ardennes. It shows he knows almost nothing about ww2 apart from the very surface level of what happened. It's completely different in numerous ways.

    • @arostwocents
      @arostwocents Месяц назад +1

      Alexander also showing very poor knowledge of the situation on the ground, Sudzha has been bypassed and encircled and will fall inevitably. Neutral mappers all agree on that.
      Its hilarious that a true disaster and historic failure of military intelligence is spun as a good thing for Russia 😂

    • @arostwocents
      @arostwocents Месяц назад +1

      Ardennes failed primarily due to lack of fuel and the cloud cover clearing allowing Allied air forces to come into the sky. Obviously fuel is not in short supply here and air defence means the air force cannot provide close air support. Also the troops were poor, mostly from the east and non German. With very poor training and equipment. Those were the things that ended Ardennes and none of them apply here. The only similarity is that it is an offensive by a nation on the ropes. Pretty slim similarities just to find something to claim this will end in rapid disaster for Ukraine.
      When was the last time anything like this ended in rapid disaster? Its more likely to go into a long, grinding defensive phase that's intended to last until negotiations. The larger the land held, the more likely that is.

    Ukraine “attacked” directly into a literal “Russian kill zone kettle” near Kursk, and is now in the position of being the bug inside of a bug-hunter’s killing jar. So what are they supposed to do now? They can’t go any farther forward into Russia unless they pour in thousands and thousands of more troops and equipment, and even then they can’t go very far. So what’s the point? BUT if they do the logical thing and withdraw then they lost all of those men and resources for absolutely nothing except another humiliating loss.
    If Russia is smart (and they are) then the “Kursk Enkettlement” will be prolonged as a long as possible, with Ukraine committed to sending more men and equipment into a hopeless meatgrinder until there are no more men or resources to send. At that point Russia simply takes the survivors as prisoners of war and then proceeds to walk into the major city of Sumy unopposed.
    If I was trying to lose a war then I would do EXACTLY what Ukraine just did. It’s too stupid to be accidental. I think Ukraine is preparing to settle for the loss of the entire Donbass region and then sue for peace, with new national boundaries all legal and everything.

    Unfortunally Alexander IS wrong. What the Ukrainians did and actually do is exactly what they teach you in Military Universitys (e.g. Germany) you always have to surprise your enemy and do what he won't expect. Otherwise you would lose the momentum of the war and the enemy can dictate on your next moves. So from a Military aspect the Ukraine Attack makes sense. But one Thing is irritating. Shouldn't there be around 90.000 russian Soldiers in the Sumy Region? Where are they. And why do the Ukrainians know that those are no longer ther?

    Ukraine's breakout in Kursk is their battle of the bludge.
    Germany collapsed less than 6 months after their battle of the bludge in late 1944.
    The Ukraine advances are based on the British SAS tactics in North Africa during WWII. Strike fast, strike deep, confuse the enemy, make them think the advancing force is much larger than it is.

      That part of the border was being manned by 'loyal' Chechen troops. I'm hearing reports...I don't know if they've been confirmed...that the Chechens DID NOT COME OUT TO MEET THE UKRAINIANS. Furthermore the Ukrainians didn't feel a need to attack the Chechen positions and just drove right past them. If true, a large percentage, if not all, of the 'loyal' Chechens have been co-opted by the US.

    It is a long front to defend but Russia should have combat aircraft flying patrol all along this front, constantly.
    That way if a border guard is engaged they should be able to call in an airstrike within 10-15 min. Response from helicopter strike within an hour. And combat support on the ground within 6-12 hours.
    There is a lack of preparation on the Russian side. Protecting ships in port, protecting aircraft on airfields. Protecting borders...
