It was my first time watching this video and listening to MARCELITO singing "POWER OF LOVE", and it left me blown away... It's an emotional reaction to a very cool video of MARCELITO POMOY performing this amazing song, called Power of Love. What a great analysis love it! The best cover of Celine Dion is a man. He's the male diva of the Philippines. He sings to please not to show off. Very humble and gracious man. Born in poverty and risen to stardom. Despite his difficulties in life, he has matured into a kind-hearted person without any trace of bitterness and pain in him. He's a funny guy as well, a natural comedian. Remains humble and true to his Christian faith and family. What is more amazing is the fact that he never had formal vocal training and lessons at all, he's self-taught. A beautiful soul that brought so much pride for the Philippines. It's interesting how you and other vocal coaches comment on how he is singing and all the little details, and I'm sure you are totally correct. But the funny part is that he has never had a singing lesson in his life. He is totally self taught. He has never practiced all the little details on how to open his mouth, how to pronounce the vowels, etc. He just sits down and sings. He doesn't know any better. He's never been taught any of that stuff. It's all just raw talent. Not bad for a guy with absolutely no vocal training growing up. That's what makes him so special. A one man duet! :)

Your analysis of Marcelito is akin to someone who went to a music school who turned out a perfect student using all the techniques learned in singing songs but what is amazing about him is that he had "none" of those training and lessons and yet came out singing songs to perfection.......he's truly gifted.
