Mike, I've witnessed the rise of the dabbleverse from the beginning (been listening to WATP since the Kevin days) and though I knew pretty much every fact you presented, I found this show absolutely riveting. You are one of the best podcasters I've ever heard in my life and I mean that. Thank you so much for your service.

I’m 37 years old, and grew up in the 90’s. I was well aware of Howard Stern and watched his E! show here and there. I had no clue who SJ was until I listened to WATP when Karl had Anthony on to talk about Opie because I was an avid O&A RUclips listener. Dummy needs to get over himself and be grateful. Karl and the dabbleverse made him relevant again, but that’s not really saying much when it comes to him. He’s only slightly less irrelevant than he already was.
But then how pathetic is the whole little troop of ‘comics’, like these guys and Shuli, who can *only* get people to give a shit about anything they say when they roast John. They seem unaware how pathetic it is that they need a loser like John.
John Melendez did a political podcast with an ex-producer of the Apprentice, who was writing a Trump book, he left the podcast because he said John was drinking too much. This was before Royce and Vince.

Mike you are really good at this. I’m gonna forget to bring this up to KARL but he genuinely sounds surprised at how bad John is when he first looked into him. You can hear it in his voice.

Hearing John from just 2 years ago, he sounds like a totally different person. Insane what he's done to himself.
Every time I’ve seen him in recent years he’s always drinking beer I wonder how he’s still alive. My friends who had severe alcohol problems died in their forties
When SJ “jokes” about Arties suicide attempt or other “jokes” like that people say the problem is he goes for the jugular too quickly or something like that. While that’s true I think the real problem is that people can tell when you bust balls to have fun vs when you are genuinely trying to get back at someone for hurting your feelings. That’s SJs problem. He doesn’t understand the spirit of busting balls because he’s too thin skinned.
I think we're saying the same thing. Making fun of Artie is completely on the table. But you can tell when it's in good spirits
@@BlindMikeProjectYep. I commented before finishing the show. You guys have a better take on it than I’ve heard anywhere. Just about anything is on the table when you joke with friends but SJ couldn’t even joke about Arties weight without him coming across as an asshole because he wants it to hurt
The first exchange when Artie says "Comedy romp(!)?" and John immediately goes to "Yeah, like when you tried to kill yourself"... It really is a measure of what an unutterable piece of shit he really is. He was never even vaguely funny, charismatic, or talented, and had no business being in entertainment.
Too thin skinned and incredibly stupid. Never underestimate how dim he is.

A couple people mentioned this issue. I'm able to play it in the background on my end and we can't find any change to make in our settings. Have you had this problem with any other videos?

John brought up the DV case bc “I supported you through that time and you’re not gunna support me running for office.” While he’s conflating being a good friend and donating money and not giving Anthony a free t shirt to promote John.
John's very lucky that the dabblverse exists, he'd probably be homeless without it.

is there areason you have "background play" disabled? I usually listen to these while taking my dog on a walk and it's a pain to leave my phone on and the screen open in my pocket. Love your stuff!

It's an issue for all of You Tube. For some reason, members only content can't be played in the background. It's infuriating!! But not Mike or Craig's fault.

The dabbleverse seems to be wide ranging but WATP only has 24k subscribers and John only has 10k subscribers. So it’s actually very niche
There’s a guy who puts up streams FOR cats to watch. He has 150k subscribers by comparison. I would like to know how these talented people can make a living with professional seeming equipment and well edited videos with less than 10k subscribers
I got 5k views on Nextdoor and 2k views on tik tok with my videos of my stuffed animal Ebony. I made them when I was recovering surgery in the hospital for ten days
I was bored out of my mind and couldn’t get out of bed
So that was the impetus of my content creation

You can hear the insecurities in his voice when he's lashing out at artie for just asking about his movie. He immediately gets defensive and tries to cut deep. He's so insecure in his own ability but he's such a narcissist he can't accept he's not funny and a hack. Deep down he has to know he's not a comedian. Or talented. Or smart. Or charming.
The reason the Dabbleverse exists is the same reason you’ll never be able to do an unbiased episode on SJ. The arrogance, the narcissism, the vindictiveness, the insecurity, the nastiness, the lies and the lack of talent are all evident instantly when listening to him. He’s a truly bad person. The appeal of messing with him is getting him to expose those traits further as is the frustration in being unable to puncture his delusion. He’s fascinating and infuriating.
I do think, years ago, I came in free of "bias". It just feels like I came to the only logical conclusion.
