13 Amazing Restaurants in Playa del Carmen

On our two-week vacation to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, we had the opportunity to dine at some incredible restaurants! In this video, I take a look at 13 (not 15, haha!) of our favorite spots, where we enjoyed everything from beachfront dining to traditional Mexican flavors and international cuisine. Zenzi Beach - A laid-back beachfront spot where we enjoyed fresh seafood and cocktails while relaxing by the ocean. Perfect for watching the sunset!
La Cueva del Chango - This charming restaurant set in a tropical jungle-like garden is known for its authentic Mexican dishes and unique atmosphere. We loved the vibrant setting and delicious food.
Cafe Antoinette - A delightful cafe offering French pastries, fresh coffee, and light meals. It was a perfect stop for breakfast or a sweet treat during our day of exploring.
Mexicali - A unique spot offering Baja California-style cuisine, with flavorful tacos, grilled meats, and more. The Mexican-American fusion was a fun twist on classic dishes.
Choux Choux Cafe - A cozy cafe serving up everything from brunch to bakery treats. The croissants and artisan coffee were a highlight here.
Micaela's - Known for its modern Mexican cuisine, this restaurant offers a fantastic combination of traditional flavors with a contemporary twist. Great for a fine dining experience.
Tropical - Located on the beach, Tropical is a lively restaurant that serves up a mix of international and Mexican fare, perfect for a day spent by the ocean.
Patio 8 - A hidden gem with a laid-back atmosphere and a menu featuring Mexican street food and cocktails. The tacos here were some of the best we had!
Quinta de Piedra - This charming spot offers both Mexican and international dishes with a unique ambiance. We loved the sophisticated menu and cozy outdoor seating.
El Fogon - One of the most popular places in Playa del Carmen, El Fogon is known for its delicious grilled meats, especially the tacos al pastor. A must-try for any meat lover!
Porfirio's - A luxury dining experience with a refined take on traditional Mexican cuisine. We enjoyed the high-end cocktails and the stunning decor.
Alux Restaurant Bar & Lounge (The Cave Restaurant) - A truly unforgettable experience, dining in a cave restaurant with stunning underground surroundings. The food is just as impressive as the atmosphere.
