My man, I am drumming to this song Sunday! I can only hope to play it this well. The triplet fill at 2:02 🔥🔥🔥! I can't even figure out what your did! I think the kick was involved. God bless you thanks for the videos. Love From upstate NY.
Bro........ SMOOTH-HARD HITTING AWESOMENESS in youre playing!!!!! Straight🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🙌💪🤙 Im a year's looooong experienced guitar player but been wanting to learn drums..... how can I get lessons from you? Cheers
They are. Tom mics are audix, snare is actually a shure mic normally used as a choir type of mic. We just got a really full sound out of it, so we went with it. Haha Kick is your typical Shure beta
To be perfectly honest, I’m not/can’t. I use an SM57, so it definitely helps being a directional mic vs a regular vocal mic. But being in a drum enclosure, it’s just the nature of the beast. But our team has made it work by largely cutting the drums coming through all of the mics out of their mixes and just using the talkback and what drums come through that.
Nice playing bro. See if you can get yourself a proximity sensor on the mic which will turn it on and off for you as you approach it to talk and move off of the mic. Or a non toggle foot switch if you can make that work while playing. Also get your sound guy to put an aggressive gate on that talk back mic until then. You may have to talk louder for yourself to cut through but just turn the talk back mic up quite loud in your own in ear mix so you know that you've made it through. That way you team only gets hit with bad quality drum volume from the talk back mic while you're talking. Good luck brother.
This is very dope man God bless

Broooo that fill though 2:00!!!! The lead vocalist is killing it! What church is this? That snare drum sounds so good, is it DW?
haha thx, man! The church is Mercy Ridge Church in Rossville, GA. And yes the snare I'm using in this is a 14x5.5 Maple DW
@@AlexWandless Lol I live close to Rossville, my grandparents live in that area!
So what mics are you using for the snare and kick? My church has those same tom mics. Are those Meinl cymbals??
Very cool, man! You should come check it out!

Hey Alex, how are you addressing the issue with kit bleed into your Talk Back mic?
