Be Idle Free Video Contest

We've all been told idling cars is bad for the environment. There is even a Be Idle Free Video Contest for youth ages 7 to 18 in the Edmonton Capital region. The contest challenges youth to make a video about why people shouldn't idle their cars.
Interestingly enough, this contest sparked the interest of an Edmontonian with a different view point. He made a video about why idling is good.

Surprise idling your car doesn't damage it. Starting and stopping it is what damages it. 90 percent of engine damage happens on start up by oil settling to the pan. Translation little to no lubrication during start up. Save gas yes for short time tell your engine needs to comsume more do to the damage.
