Jackie liked cole from the beginning bc of the way she looked at him when he came out of the pool. Alex was just the easier choice imo.
I don't understand why Alex was so drunk at the wedding, didn't you think that was weird? He could have had a nice evening with Jackie, but instead he spent it lying down.
What really stood out to me is that it was Kylie keeping an eye on him and taking care of him, instead of his gf. Jackie seemed totally oblivious to the fact that he was off to the side getting wasted. She never even went to check on him, until much later that night. It was a pretty interesting contrast to how attentive she was to Cole, when he was drunk and spiraling at the awards ceremony.
@@SilverScreenDreamer It's so weird. This episode doesn't hold up. I wouldn't want my 'boyfriend' to do that to me at a wedding, he disappears all evening, as if it were normal. The next morning everything is fine and he brings coffee with a flower. Not very realistic Alex is difficult to understand.
It is odd considering he suggested Cole not drink at the Mom’s event a few episodes before. I’m thinking that maybe Alex hadn’t told Jackie yet that he’s leaving for the summer because of that program. Alex probably sensed a few times Cole being into Jackie and he hastily said I love you in hopes that she’ll say it back ensuring nothing would change when he gets back.

I am pretty sure I saw he told Jackie he was leaving for the summer - they discussed it was only for a few weeks - but that was before he went overboard and told her he loved her, despite their vibe not being anywhere near that intense. Eg their dancing at the wedding was pitiful. I agree with all the rest of your comment though. I find the Alex character rather manipulative,@@natashaj849
I don't think Cole or Alex should end up with Jackie until they talk about their problems and also I do think Alex does deserve better

I just don't understand why she would choose Cole ngl... Idc if they had "chemistry", Alex was a gentleman from day 1, while Cole helped bleach her hair and make fun of her. They kept fighting throughout the whole series, and I'm just afraid their relationship would grow toxic, just like Cole's relationship with Erin did.
Yes, Alex might've been a lil clingy and "simpy", but my at least he was honest and open about his love for her. Jackie played along the whole, entire time and let him. Ig she liked the attention. She never told Alex she didn't like it; if she really hated it, she should've told him.

Due to this they both got to know each other’s real side,the side where u r broken and don’t know what to do about it

Maybe I'm showing my age lol but Alex gives me young C. Thomas Howell vibes. If I were a teen again, I would have thought Cole was for sure hot but too intimidating and now that I'm older, I wish I had a guy like Alex as my first real boyfriend.

@@theheirsdaughter5776 Aw thank you. TSITP situation is a bit different though...with MLWTWB, she's just met these guys, but the other the girl has known them both all her life. If I were Belly I would have grown up crushing on Conrad too because he was always there for her, Jere was too but that's why they are kindred spirits. Unfortunately, both Conrad and Jeremiah have issues to work out before getting into a serious relationship; both are dealing with their mom's sickness and death, Conrad is dealing with heartbreak, and Jeremiah has to deal with his jealousy. Both need to grow and so does Belly. After that growth, I would say that Jeremiah and Belly are best as the bestest of friends and she and Conrad would be more compatible because they would compliment each other more after that.
I think Alex is better as a boyfriend, but he deserves better, so I'm team Cole for Jackie
