I love watching you cook, but most of all, I love watching you enjoy your food!! I hope to find some of these dishes at my local Thai restaurants.
Wow! I absolutely love your recipes, Marion. You can really cook some amazing food. I wish I'd grown up on this cuisine, but it's never too late to start, right? TYSM! I truly need your cookbook.
Marion, thank you so, so much for your video's...! I look forward to every single one. It's my reward when I get home from work to watch (I'm a HUGE fan of Thai cuisine, and probably do more Thai dishes than anything else...). Cheers from Canada...!
I have wanted to try Hainanese Chicken Rice for ages, but I couldn't find a restaurant in my area to order it. After seeing your video, I decided to stop being lazy and make it myself.
I served it to my mom and son. They were taken aback at what looked like boiled chicken and white rice (I stir fried vegetables rather than serve cucumber). Once they tasted it, they couldn't get enough.
Your directions were perfect and easy to follow. I couldn't believe how delicious the final result was. And, I put the leftover broth in the freezer to make Congee when my son and I are in the mood for some.
Thank you so much for sharing!
Happiness is watching her smile ❤️. Love you dear.

I have tried 155 recipes for making nougat and I couldn't get the perfect texture of store-bought nougat. So I want you to make Nougat and share the recipe ...........please do not ignore this..................
Ohhhh too die for 😋 can’t wait to try all
I loved the last dish ,but i love more your body language and your expressions when you eat ,OH, )))) , love to you dear from Cairo.
The last dish looks delicious
Hi Marion, please share more recipes using your amazing XO sauce ! I made a batch and would love to use it in more authentic dishes .😉🙏🏻💕
MSG is fine to use. If anyone eats American potatoes chips and corn chip and seaweed, they are already eating MSG.
A technique my mum used to teach me was to soak the poached chicken in a basin of iced water for a few minutes before chopping it up later. I realized that the soaking in iced water led to a gelatinous texture for the chicken skin........
Looks so yummy
Love this recipe..
this is so good
Awsome chef watching from jamaica 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
The best! 😋
When I was in Singapore I had hainanese chicken probably once a day 😂
I had the best Thai chicken and rice dishes in a mall food court in Chiang Mai. I was so broke during that time while living abroad (was in between remote jobs) so my food budget was smaller. But the dish low cost and so filling.
Same! I was eating Khao man gai, Nam tok moo and moo deng everyday. Cheap, filled me up and tasty! Chok Dee Krahp. 🙏🏾
@@JAY1892 arroy mak! I miss Thailand so so much! 🙏🏾🙏🏾
@@CuratedVibes
Me too bud, I lived there for 5 years. Mainly on Thonglor but travelled all over. Did you visit Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia etc? “Tuk Tuk?” 😂
@@JAY1892 nice! I didn't spend too much time in Bangkok, mostly in Chiang Mai for 3 years. It was so chill. I visited Vietnam, Lao, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and S. Korea and lived in India for a while too. I gotta get back out there again. I still need to see Indonesia, Japan and Taiwan.
Wow, everything look delicious. Here in the US don’t have good fresh chicken like over there.
Now, I need a whole chicken 😊
Hainanese 🐓 😋, Perfect for the winter ,it just give the kick that i need for the day♥️….i will have my second plate😝, should I ?

I would like to know where to buy the scissors you use for cutting chicken parts. Thanks!
Hi, I'm curious - why do you sprinkle the chicken with salt if right after that you put this chicken to the stock? Isn't it easier to just add salt to the stock?
This looks interesting Marion 😋 sadly hubby is still on a diet so have to make this in my head for now 😂
That’s sauce is my favorite sauce for chicken.
you make me want to cook more and better...🤩
Hello Marion's when poaching the chicken when stock and chicken pot come to boil do you swich off the fire waiting for3 40min or reduce the fire and simmer the chicken
Hi Marion, can I ask what kind of pan you are using for the khao mok gai recipe?
Do I need to wash the rice before add them to the pan.??? I love one pot rice dish. Must try this one. Thanks
All looks amazing but I have a quick question. What can I substitute for curry powder? . I REALLY REALLY dislike curry powder. The turmeric chicken rice is something I’ve not tried before.
Dear Marion, do you need to rinse the rice before adding it to the chicken fat in the Hainanese Chicken recipe?
Please post this on IG ASAP so I can send to my mom. Lol
OmG!! All three of these recipes.....Which one is first....All look Soooooooooooooooo AMAZING!! Ohhh, I think I need a cigarette!!!
I made the Hainanese Chicken & Rice yesterday for my grandpa who’s from Thailand! I couldn’t find the recipe for Khao Mun Gai so I opted for that!
What did your grandpa think?
Im not a Biryani fan but Yes to Khao Mok Gaii !!
How did you make the red sauce?
Even your spoon is like the ones in hawker centers
I want to try this! But would it be okay if I wash my rice first before putting it into the pot?
You should ALWAYS was rice :)
I hate/love your videos so much... Now i'm sooo hungry again
MSG makes the world taste better!
Do you wash the rice first
you really should recommend a drool bucket before watching this....
🙋♂️U r still my favorite chicken👍💋💋💋!!
Just use msg. Its amazing. Nothing wrong with msg
Instead of using vinegar you can use piece of tamarind or lemon juice for mint chutney,All is well 🙏🏻
❤❤❤❤
who else love all these 3 ways like me haha!
I have the mortar and pestle I noticed you pour oil in there. Omg how do you clean yours? In general I’m not really cleaning mine. Just a running it under water.
If it is granite you can wash with warm water and mild detergent.
Lol. Warm water and mild detergent? It’s a freakin rock!!
@@damiandelrio1711 did you have a better idea? Warm water and mild detergent is what dishes are washed with...
@@philaphobic I'm half Thai, we do wash our mortar and pestle with warm/hot water and dish soap.
@@niamtxiv yep, dish soap is a mild detergent 😀
There is nothing wrong with MSG! Just saying! Nice video :)
