Our home is like yours. We have my husband’s tradition, he’s Polish on Christmas Eve and mine on Christmas Day, British. Our children have been raised to celebrate both. Thank you for the videos. I’m not sure if you have done past years but have really enjoyed them this year. They have been very helpful.
Love all of these traditions. I am Scottish, English, Irish, and German. So all of these wonderful foods are part of our celebrations. My close friends are Italian, Ukranian and Polish. So we enjoy all of the wonderful foods of the season. I am starting a new tradition this year in my home with the tabletop Christmas Wreath and 4 tappered candles. We light one each Sunday before Christmas day, with the last candle lite on Christmas day. I have found that as you take that moment to light the candle, it gives you a chance to reflect and feel the true meaning of Christmas. My neighbour is Swedish and she introduced me to this tradition.
@LivingHerBestLife My friend actually lights the last candle Christmas Eve. I use red candles. The true Advent Wreath, should start on the first Sunday of Advent and continue until all 4 are lit on the last Sunday of Advent. They use a green candle the first Sunday to symbolize faith. The second Sunday is a blue candle for hope. The third Sunday a gold candle for love and on the fourth Sunday or on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day a white candle is lit representing Christ. I think no matter which order you pick, it represents the spirit of Christmas.
You take me, back in time, to when I did help with decorating cookies for Christmas, with my family. Mom, God rest her soul in peace, used to make a feast, and my favorite food, was the barley soup with lamb and yogurt. Delicious I am touched, by your stories, very interesting and informative, thanks for sharing. God bless you, for all you do and thanks again. 🙏🥰🤗😘🤶🎅🎄👍🎁❤️✝️✨💫🌟
I loved this video! My grandma was from Scotland but had similar British traditions and treats, so I loved seeing the British store. She loved Mr. Bean and I can’t watch him without always thinking of her ❤️ Thanks for sharing!
That was sweet how you were emotional over the British treats. I really like the mince tarts from Safeway. I have to have them every Christmas. Have a wonderful day Angela and thank you for all of these awesome videos! You're really helping us get ready for Christmas! 🤗🎄☃
Oh thank you. Will have to find the British store next time in Calgary. I am English(mum) and Polish(dad). We did mostly English Christmas but did have cabbage roll, later perogies , borscht too( mum had to learn how to make.) I now make all the related items. Will have to try the other 2 stores as well.😊
Such a fun store ! I smiled when you spoke about mincemeat….my Grandma always made mincemeat pies for Christmas when I was a child and I remember not wanting to try it because I thought there was hamburger in the pie 😂 but I eventually tried it when I was older & liked it 🎄⛄️🎄⛄️
I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your videos.

Hollow Cadbury and Lindt chocolate as you only get them at Christmas
Not sure there will be brussels sprouts this year at our family Christmas Day dinner. Fingers crossed! lol
