      @Jackal5971
The constitution says whatever the f*k these freaks want it to say. If you go back, you'll find the exact same passages being used to legitimize polar opposites.
It's pointless trying to see logic in the US chaos.
All you need to understand is that money is king.
      There is nothing else.
      No empathy or apathy.
      No self-preservation.
      No religion.
      No ideology.
      Just money.
Republicans have been pushing guns for decades while watching the mass and school shootings go up from 1 a year to 1 a month while making big bank through their connections to the NRA. Not because they hate American people... but because there is enough money to be made so that they don't care.
There is nothing else you need to understand.
These people aren't ''EVIL'', they're just greedy to the point of not caring for anything else in life.
The bottomline is all that matters. Every agency that wasn't cut is directly connected to either Elon's or Trump's empire.
The rest, according to them, can go to hell.

    • @jasperzanovich2504
      @jasperzanovich2504 Month ago

USAians are completely self-centered, they don't care about anything unless it affects them.
Most who hate LGBTQ+ do so because they are annoyed by their protested demands to not be killed.
For decades they have ignored all the injustices their government commits. It's only now that they can no longer increase profits by stepping on third world countries and the noose tightens around their necks that they are starting to care.

@Brian-tn4cd Not unredacted. With Trump being mentioned millions of times, all the other people mentioned will have absolute immunity, because otherwise they might testify against Donald. Hate to say it, but there will never be justice for the victims, and no consequences for anyone, except a little bit of overseas cancel culture, and Prince Andrew losing his prestige. The Epstein files will just be the Kennedy assassination for the current generation.

Even the Epstein files won't get Trump impeached. You are still hoping that you can get rid of Trump without actually doing anything but demanding to see the Epstein files on youtube videos.

@jasperzanovich2504 I think you miss the point. If nobody is calling for the files then the files are forgotten and then that is that. You are basically supporting the rape and molestation of children by saying “just go to sleep on this issue”

Here in Thailand USAID used to run a lot of clinics for Burmese refugees on the border. They had people on oxygen that they had to boot out who immediately died. There was no wind-down or warning, the shutdown was done in the cruellest way possible, immediately. I heard of lots of US citizens working for USAID who didn't get a flight home or severance, just let go effective immediately. It wasn't a budget cut, it was an attack on the most vulnerable people in the world and the people who cared enough to actually do something to help them. The entire point was to be cruel to excite their constituents.

@stephencoldbear Well, it’s not exactly racism, because we’re not talking about any particular group of people. We are talking about a country that is supporting genocide and war, with a lunatic president who loves the rich and hates everyone else, especially women. The US is basically the richest Third-World country on earth, with one man, Musk, owning about the same as the bottom half of the country‘s citizens. You have no mandatory vacation or maternity leave laws, many have no health care, which causes your life expectancy as a country to fall. School is a place where kids go to get shot, but not to learn. I could keep going, but I need my sleep. Sound sleep, because I cannot lose my job, my apartment, my pension or other things just because someone says so. I can afford to eat out and even get sick, with six weeks of full sick pay for each illness. That’s the law where I live. Now, some may call that socialism, but that’s because it is!! It’s democratic socialism, and I love it! But you do you. Good night!

Separated career USAID Foreign Service Officer here (14 years). Was USAID perfect? No - the bureaucracy was real and it needed reform. But USAID would have done whatever this administration asked. The capacity and willingness were there. They didn't reform it. They just wanted it gone - because they couldn't be bothered to understand what they had. An institution that for sixty years partnered with nearly every developing country on earth to save lives, reduce poverty, and build resilience. You don't have to be liberal or conservative to see that's insane.

Fraud is predominantly perpetrated by people directly in or around finance and hence by people already wealthy to some degree, at least in terms of the sums of money being defrauded. In light of this, it is quite a statement by the US administration when they _de-funded_ all institutions overseeing exactly those types of fraudsters.

    USAID: the real numbers
$21.7B in FY2024 = 0.3% of federal budget = $105/American/year ≈ 3.5 days of Pentagon spending. The crucial clarification on the "12%" figure: only 12.1% went directly to local organizations in recipient countries - but 87.9% flowed through US-based implementing partners (contractors, NGOs, universities), employing American workers. Over $1 billion directly to American small businesses in 2024. 4.1-4.7 million lives saved per year 2001-2021. Dismantled by Trump/DOGE without a congressional vote - legally still exists since Congress established it in 1998.

I just don't see what's the point of keeping foreign communities dependent on US dollars. If you can't take the money away without people dying then clearly they aren't sustainable situations. Shouldn't said money be used to move them out of there, or change it, instead of just giving money to feed people without a plan for the future?
I mean, "disaster happens, where's american money" just makes no sense to me. Not an american btw.

Yeah, some regions in this world are very poor because wealth created there moves towards... North amrica and europe. Without exploiting these poor countries for cheap labor and ressources we would not live in abundance like this. So helping starving children or treating AIDS patients is the LEAST we can do. We should do so much more. You act as if all of these people are lazy or incapable instead of born into a region with almost no opportunities, ravaged by this problem or the next. Please, read up on what the programs do and why they are needed or stop spreading such takes from a place of ... Ignorance. It should also be noted that it is stupid.
The entirety of the USAID-Budget was about 1% of the federal budget. So that is already very low. For 1% of their budget the US bought tremendous power in africa, which they used to foster economic and political partnerships. The main beneficiary of the move to cut USAID is not the american taxpayer. Because USAID was only 1% of the federal budget, so you cout cut federal taxes by 1%... which is not a lot (on top of that some of the things that budget was spend on benefitted the US economy, so it would be even less than that).
However stopping it basically handed the entire african continent over to russia and china. The Trump administration basically cemented the US reliance on china for stuff like rare earths, because guess were there are large deposits of this? In africa.
However the Trump administration has done pretty much everything possible to drive those african countries towards china. And that is terrible news for the US economy that relies on the materials from the continent. And while calling those countries shitholes propably didn't help either, USAID provided incredible soft power for the US in africa for such a low price tag.
Just to make that comparison. The Trump administration is expected to ask for funds for the Iran war that make up 2/3s an entire year of USAID-spending before the cuts. (The 2022 Budget was 74 billion, the expected supplemental for the pentagon is expected to be 50 billion).

The proof of USAID’s work being influential can be found in the destruction left in its absence. USAID was also a program for helping the US farmers ;-( , when billionaires decide who get the most money, the poor people lose.

This propaganda was super effective they completely spun the subject from talking about the one country benefiting from war (and owning HBO) to talking about... USAID? That is crazy!

all symptoms of the sickness of the US.
after all if the people were a little less like US-Americans and more like humans with morals, they would have never voted for those guys.
don't forget the US isn't going down the drain because of demented Donny and his cronies,
the US has this government because it's been going down (on the evolution ladder) for some time now.
