To show they are full Alpina chassis number cars and not BMW cars later converted to B7 spec using kits sold separately. Worth considerably more as they were more rare and exact production numbers are known. This is the period the Alpina made there best cars. B9 3.5 for me but the turbo cars were the highway powerhouse of the two while B9 was the M5 fighter before M5 was released in 1984 I believe.

Read about these, pretty much the ultimate sleeper cars of the mid 80's, especially the E28 sedan which looked like any 5 series at first glance. It warms my heart to see that their owners have taken care of them. So many of these end up being abused by thugs.
@visiteur00000 I never stated that the sedan made "more noise" i never stated that it made a "wierd noise" dont be so quick to judge someone else's preference and knowledge just because that person lives in the states. i personally specialize, and prefer an inline 6 over a v8 any day. next time read the comment a little more closely before approaching someone as an asshole.
