So, the main reason I watched this video/movie is because I've got a creative writing assignment. It's a short story assignment that must pertain anywhere from 3,000 words to 5,000 words. The teacher told us to pick a topic we could most relate to. I had two choices in mind. LGBT or self-harm and suicide. Ultimately I chose LGBT and began to look for inspiration. My thoughts led me to RUclips; where I've watched countless videos on LGBT rights and such before I stumbled upon your video "Practical Things". I loved that video. Practical Things led me to this video and I am now subscribed. You're probably wondering why I'm commenting this and I'm getting there;
Thank you. This not only gave me inspiration I needed, but it also added a lil' bit of courage to my "Coming Out Of The Closet" bucket; which is now half-way full. Thank you so much and I'm looking forward to more videos/movies!
Harley Hawkins there is nothing wrong with being yourself and the sooner you do the happier you will be. It took me a long time to come out and I was miserable the whole time. When I finally did two weeks later I got with the most amazing girl and love of my life. We have been together for almost five years now. You love who you love it's that simple and there is nothing wrong or to be ashamed of about it.

I'm a lesbian from the Philippines and it breaks my heart that I may not have this type of relationship where we can get married. There are still a lot of hindrances for LGBT folks here. Hoping it'll change in the future! But kudos to the actors and the production team behind this short film. It's great!

Don't let anyone tell you that God hates gay people..(here's the thing God dislikes sins but that doesn't mean he hates the people doing it.)
They're trying to play God or trying to think what God would feel about a certain type of person..
If they say you'll go to hell or you won't be accepted in heaven.. ask them this... Why would a loving Father who loves His children very much that He won't let them enter into the kingdom of heaven??.. just because he\she happens to love someone who's of the same sex... There are lots of sins mentioned in the bible.. But people seem to just magnify this ONE. And don't confuse love & lust.
God says.. Its what's in your heart that matters.
That is why it doesn't matter whether you're rich or poor.. Or you have the most expensive things out there. Maybe sexual orientation don't matter either coz its what's in your heart that matters. Good day!

As a Christian coming to terms with being bi and Christian this speaks volumes. It’s true. The Bible says so many things like eating shellfish or unclean foods are not ok. But Jesus said “I didn’t come to destroy the law but to fulfill it”. Jesus says anyone who believes will have enteral life. No matter what you did or will do in your life. God loves all.
So I won't go to hell for loving my girlfriend? I have a personal relationship with Jesus as well and I always try my best to keep my faith in God. I've ask God to this my attraction towards women and her many times over if it be His will..but I'm still confused and figuring it out.
God does not send you to Hell your choices do.
This is a treasure! I loved the message, often times people get caught up with the spectacle of engagements and weddings but the fundamental of it is just two people in love.

I thought this was going to be a sad thing when I watched it! When she found the box inside of the cabinet, something about the way she looked at it gave off this "oh, here's the thing I've been hiding so that I could forget about 'her'" type of vibe. I thought the whole thing was a flashback to when she received the ring and that either something tragic happened to her love or things just didn't workout between the two. It took me a while, but I got it.

I thought it was shot well. Black Magic is awesome! I consider myself romantic. I cry at commercials. My gf never cries so, naturally, she makes fun of me (playfully). I am 49 and I have seen so many lesbian films and I am happy that we are becoming more mainstream. The problem is.....I have only seen a handful of films that where not about love or love and sex and the dialogue is always the same. Or one goes back to a man or they cheat. Also, usually the dialogue and direction is so cheesy. I am being serious here. My life as a woman who happens to be a lesbian....has so many dimensions. Why, do lesbian film makers, seem to always follow this same format? With all the gay writers, actors, directors, etc. in the film industry, why are the scripts not on par with other mainstream movies? Bound was a great movie. No, I did not find Gina Gershon or Jennifer Tilley hot (let the hate flow even more). I thought the script was brilliant and the chemistry between the two characters was undeniable. No, I'm not in the Mafia so I realize that's not realistic. However, that's why it was so damn good! Fire. Another great movie. Aimee and Jaguar. Love stories but other things going on that make the movie more exciting. My summer of love. Great movie! Great book. Has anybody ever made Rubyfruit Jungle into a movie and I missed it? I know I am probably not being realistic but as a photographer, I see some things differently. This film was well done. I just really hoped I would see something....different. Good luck moving forward. It seems you have a great fan base so you will do fine. Take care.
millie williams Thank you so much for this fantastic comment. Yes, we agree 100%. Actually it's starting to be a changing trend for a lot of filmmakers making LGBT content. Right now, we're getting ready to make a feature film with these two ladies called BRIDES TO BE. While yes, this story is a love story, we're hoping to do something different with it. We're focusing on the fact that love is the only way to conquer hate and fear (something we need to talk more about in this country/world) - and we're showing the hate and fear through supernatural/paranormal events that start happening to our characters the night before their wedding in a secluded mansion. Then, we have another film in the works that's a western/crime drama featuring two women who have to work together to take down the drug smuggling cartel and save their town. But unfortunately, these type of movies are not ones Hollywood wants to help make. They have told us time and time again that women in lead roles don't sell movies and therefore they won't give us the money to make them. So a lot of us are stuck trying to figure out how to make our movies for less money and to find that money in other ways. But I know there are people out there who want to tell the stories you want to see! We just need to connect with audiences like you and get them to help us filmmakers make the films they want to see.

When watching opening credits these days you see 7 companies before the film starts...lol...I truly am aware of how hard it is to find a studio, production company, PR, etc.. and what you described sounds really good actually. I do hope you can get it done. I will be on the look out. :-)
